Meet Fabio Soto of Woolert Technologies in Brickell

Today we’d like to introduce you to Fabio Soto.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Fabio. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
From a very young age, living in my native country of Venezuela, I was attracted to technology. I was the type of person that enjoyed to always learn more about computers or installing software to learn the various uses of each program. My parents would go out of their way to assure that my brothers and I had the latest technology available, and I quickly learned to appreciate the advantages it gave me and how it facilitated itself to simplify life on a daily basis. My Father is a technology fanatic, and I believe he instilled in me the love for technology, and the curiosity towards it since I was a young boy. In 2012, my Father supported my decision to move to Miami so I could study Information Technology and Computer Science in Florida International University. I graduated four years ago and decided to stay in South Florida to continue to pursue my career.

During the first years studying in Florida International University, I started to visualize the idea of creating a company that offered advanced services in Home Automation Design and Network Integrations. During that time, not many companies existed with such services. Most of those existing companies were previously video and audio installation companies that had moved their way into home automation. My idea, however, was different from what was already in the market. My idea was to begin with Home Automation, yet from the perspective of using technology in every aspect. I wanted to work with young, innovating people, who loved and appreciated technology as much as I did and create a company that used technology for its advantages, rather than incorporating it simply because it was a thing pushed by on other by society. At the age of 23, I decided to embark on this journey, and officially commence my dreams.

Today I can proudly say that Woolert Technologies is a successful company in the High-End Luxury Construction & Remodeling market. We design and integrate technology for companies during construction, interior designing firms, architectures firms, and individual clients that seek our services for advanced technology, home remodeling.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No. When you decide very young to go down an entrepreneurship route, and lack day-to-day experience and skills, it could get tough quick! Personally, I struggled to learn the structure of the business itself, and the skill set necessary to make it a successful company in Miami. I took it upon myself to really learn the ins and outs of business management. Through countless hours of reading, I taught myself what I needed to know in technology and business to make this company succeed and stand its ground against other competitors. Looking back, one of the primary struggles along the way was my age. When you start a company that young you often get in your own way. You often limit or doubt yourself. You don’t feel secure in the role you have assumed because you lack that experience.

As time progresses, and that experience is gained, you continue to grow and make advances. I learned that with perseverance, hard work, dedication, and consistency, anything is achievable. Amongst many things, my Father taught me those concepts and because of that, I believe I have been able to accomplish so much. I am so grateful to have him by my side, as he has always provided his support and since the beginning pushed me to believe in myself and in the dream of building a successful company in this city. He always said the right words for me to know that through consistency, sacrifice, and drive, you can accomplish whatever you dream of. I think having that type of guidance and support truly brings out the greatest qualities in people, and allows them to achieve any goal.

Please tell us about Woolert Technologies.
My company started in the Smart Home market four years ago as a personal project. We began this journey alongside business partners that are no longer with us, yet because of their work and support, allowed us to layout an incredibly strong foundation for our company. They contributed invaluable supports for our company, for what we do on a daily basis, for our recognition as a company, and for the achievements made across the high-end luxury market across Miami. Woolert Inc. is a high-end tech company dedicated to improving the quality of life of clients within their homes. My company specializes in high-quality Smart Home design.

Woolert Inc. offers clients simplified solutions in their homes through home automation design and entertainment operated through controls. These services allow clients to have autonomy over the various functions of their home, from lighting, air conditioning, music, video, window treatments, doors, security, gardens, pools and fountains, and so much more!

Additionally, we install high-efficiency equipment to reach maximum harmony amongst the quality of each service, the wishes of each customer, and the improvement and conservation of each environment. We are pioneers in the development and installation of Green technology, and we concentrate on that as a guiding principle in all our work.

My work consists of planning and structuring each project with the best equipment available while maintaining and respecting each client’s budget. This, alongside with adequate integration of each product, delivers top-quality projects. Woolert is known because of our costumer’s satisfaction, and the relationships establishes with them, even after the projects are finished. I think my biggest role is demonstrating that the trust each customer instills in us by selecting us for their projects is always compensated by delivering the best quality of work.

The quality of our services. We install a wide range of priced equipment, yet no matter what the project’s budget is, we always deliver quality work that satisfies our costumers. I think this truly does set us apart because no matter what the price point of a project is, the quality, completion and standard of work is always the same.

Who else deserves credit – have you had mentors, supporters, cheerleaders, advocates, clients or teammates that have played a big role in your success or the success of the business?  If so –who are they and what role did they plan / how did they help.
A personal belief of mine is that if you surround yourself with people who are focused, driven, and ambitious on the same type of work, your company will be successful no matter what obstacles come across. I thank God for people like Yoan Cruz and Robert Hernández. Together with them, we are The Woolert Team as an engineer, business manager, and a professional installer. Even though our roles are so different within the company, we always work together as a team in making decisions to progress our company. They have been the greatest value within our company. They have taught me to always give more of myself to put forward our best work, and have leaned on them for assurance whenever I have doubts.

Together we have pushed one another, and have realized that always seeking what is next, sets us apart from other companies and allows us to continue to progress. Together we form a great team and through our work, and perseverance we have had countless opportunities to work in the most exclusive places in Miami such as Start Island, Palm Island, Brickell, Sunny Isles, Privee Island, Miami Beach, Palm Beach, Indian creek island, Hibiscus Island, Fisher Island, Key Biscayne, Coral Gables, and many more. You could say that thanks to this team Woolert is today a company in the pursue towards a better tomorrow.
