Today we’d like to introduce you to Fabiana Soares.
Fabiana, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Originally from Brazil, I moved the United States 21 years ago, to the State of California. I lived in Los Angeles for five years, where I went to school at UCLA for arts & Languages. While in LA, I missed Brazil dearly, it was very hard to be far away from home. So I decided to move closer and chose Miami. It’s been 16 years that I reside on the sunshine state and love absolutely everything about here.
Has it been a smooth road?
My first big obstacle was the language, as I did not speak English at all. Took me lot of dedication to learn the language and to be where I am now. Moving to Miami was another challenge at first, on my own starting a new life, I got my first Job at Porcao Steak House where I started as a Hostess and rapidly grew into different position until I got the Director of Marketing and Sales position and worked on for five years. After that, I started to work at Texas de Brazil (Brazilian Steak House) as a manager and soon I was General manager of one of the biggest venues they have in South Beach, I worked with them for about ten years, the last 2 I decided to move back to Sales where I really enjoy and can be myself. I love to network and have great connections.

After that, I decided to move on and explore possibilities, so I worked for Yard House as Regional Sales Manager, covering four restaurants in South Florida. It was my first time working from home. It was an amazing experience. I then decided to work on my own. I opened my company and got few accounts that keep me busy, working with Vida & Estilo Group that carries different brands as: Mercato della Pescheria, Havana 1957, Oh Mexico, Tapas Y Tintos, La Cerveceria de Barrio and Barsecco. Also opening soon Marabu. It has been an enriching experience to take care of many different brands at the same time in such a great company.
