Today we’d like to introduce you to Evitta Hobbs.

I started dancing at the age of three years old. I continued through my school years until I graduated. I found that while dancing, you definitely had to be in shape. I found an interest in fitness and received my fitness certifications. I wanted to continue to gain knowledge for both dance and fitness. Therefore, I worked at a couple of local gyms, coached a high school dance team and was a dance instructor at a local dance studio. I eventually became the Director for the dance studio. In the year 2007, I creating my own business to continue to teach dance and fitness. I have taught dance and fitness for over fifteen years. Through hard work and dedication of both of my crafts, I was allowed to appear in magazines, local newspapers, music videos and performed at different venues and events. As I became older, I transitioned the business to become more focused on health and fitness for various ages. I currently personal train, group fitness instructor, and teach dance choreography. Your Choice for Health Fitness and Dance.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being a dance director had its ups and downs. You were responsible for clients new/old, overseeing the budget, keeping the parents happy and creating opportunities for the children to perform beside the end of the year recital. Transitioning into the fitness industry was a little more struggle, being there are peak times when people feel they want to exercise or weight loss journey. You definitely have to continue to network, gain clients and retain your old clients. There are many brand gyms as well as a lot of private gyms in town for people to choose from. I have learned a lot over the years with the business and learn to always continue to be the best version of me in order to stand out from other competitors around me.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
