Meet Eugene Rosov of Steaminazer in Coral Gables

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eugene Rosov.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Eugene. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Many years ago, I had the good fortune to start a laboratory…a water testing lab. It was my first capitalist venture, and it was, by the grace of God, wonderfully successful. In part due to my persistence, and also to my ignorance (and therefore I had to learn from the ground up), I wound up doing things that simply weren’t…done….in the normal water testing field…like properly preparing samples for collection and transport by acidifying metals-analysis samples. We devised a simple, effective way to do it, and… voila! We found huge amounts of lead in drinking water. It caused a national storm (in 1998/99) and our company caused the remediation of every public water supply in America….both by removing and replacing lead from copper-pipe solder joints, and by reducing the corrosivity of water. In a few brief years, I’d managed (through good luck, ignorance of “the impossible” and dogged, stupid persistence) to improve the health of millions of Americans. In various ways, I’ve repeated that paradigm throughout my life, taking 3 companies public and generally doing rather useful, socially beneficial things.

Steaminazer is an attempt to do four things: a) to reduce water consumption from 50 gallons per car to 1/4th of a gallon per car (yes, you read that correctly); b) to provide legal and illegal immigrants and others seeking gainful employment with a way to make, with relative ease, about $40-$50,000 a year – with NO capital investment whatsoever; c) create a method for an ever-aging population to obtain a clean, shiny car without even have to wait in line for a 50-gallon-per-car-wash at their local fixed facility; and d) allow the cleaning of cars in the garages associated with buildings, so that clients can have their cars cleaned thoroughly, and thoroughly sanitized, while they’re working…and without leaving a spot of water on the garage floor for people to trip, slip or slide on.

Our goal is to create a national network, in an Uber-like framework, so that people can participate…people who want to work and can work hard, without insane hours or any investment….and provide a valuable, appreciated exceptionally LOCAL family-oriented service that’s community-based and interpersonally developed.

That’s the Steaminazer ideal…God-willing we will be able to implement it.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Every business is difficult. No good business is without bumps and lumps. One must be more than persistent…. even blindly pig-headed and sometimes even irresponsible. “The path is not easy, and the way is hard. But those who enter the narrow gate will find good pasture.” We continue to struggle with growth, marketing and the key definitions of superior customer service. We learn stuff every day. It’s a never-ending and tortuously delightful battle…. against the forces of insouciance and arrogance. AND…. we’ll prevail. Just watch.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
We clean cars…both mobile and locally at our office-location. We’re unique in 3 ways: a) superior, perfect communication before, during and after our service packages; b) superior competitive pricing that’s within the reach of anyone who wants a clean car; c) superior sanitization, complete, with the most powerful anti-microbial non-toxic ever-available substance known to mankind: steam.

What were you like growing up?
At 12, I was a child prodigy on the cello, and performed throughout New York City. At 16 I went to Harvard College on a full scholarship, studying Renaissance lit and playing the ‘cello and teaching, conducting and performing almost daily. 4o hours a week of musical work; 40 hours of school, and a few hours of sleep. It was a blast, and I relish the lessons: work hard, work harder than anyone around you, and you’ll win…but WHAT you win remains to be seen, and God has surprises and rewards in store for you that you never thought of in a million years of thousands of lifetimes. Me? I was a wonk, a kinda cheery nerd. Still am. Passionate and different. I took my kids (2 of them; one was biologically “mine” if you can say that about anyone) off the street, as I did my dogs in the last few years. All of them…boys and dogs…are enormously successful. Lessons for life: live and talk the way you want your children to live and talk, and they will follow the path to emulate you. “Do as I do” is the only way. Anything else is hypocrisy… and Lord knows we’re replete with hypocrites….at work, in politics, in the church and The Church….you name it. Be true to your heart, because that’s where He told us sits the truth, the Real Truth. Listen to your heart……that’s what I learned from growing up different…. reading…. playing, performing music…. loving everyone and learning from all. What a blessing. So much gratitude.
