Meet Esther Beniflah of EB Public Relations in Brickell

Today we’d like to introduce you to Esther Beniflah.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Esther. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Everything started with my passion. Ever since I was a little girl, I was obsessed with show business events. When the Grammy’s or Billboards were on, I would get just as excited as if it was my birthday or somebody’s wedding. I loved watching and getting to know every detail from the wardrobes to the performances, all the behind the scenes production and so on. I never thought I could actually work on these events; I saw it as an impossible dream. I majored in Public Relations at the University of Miami and there were a lot of people in my life who opposed as this isn’t a typical area to major in Venezuela and that it would be extremely difficult to start a career from scratch (I didn’t have any contacts or experience whatsoever in the entertainment industry). During college, I interned and volunteered at all the events I possibly could, without payment. Criticism continued because I wasn’t making any money, I wasn’t spending enough time with friends and family and because I wasn’t the best at keeping up with my school work, but I was so happy. I started meeting a lot of people in the industry and I started feeling that this was my place, so I continued to pursue my passion. After graduation, things got harder because at this point, I had a lot of contacts and work experience but I couldn’t find a job. After a while, little by little, my friends started reaching out to me asking me for help building PR strategies for their businesses, they later became my official clients that recommended me and that’s how EB Public Relations (my own PR agency) was born.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
As part of the story, I mention on several occasions how difficult it can be to make your dream come true. In my experience, the first setback I had was that the people who were closest to me, except for my mom (who is my role model) didn’t believe in me. When you don’t have the support from your circle, it can make you feel insecure, although in my case, it gave me more reason to pursue my passion and prove them wrong. Every day comes with a new challenge because your dreams and goals keep growing and growing. Every time I reach a certain goal that seemed impossible, I feel incredibly excited and that’s what makes me want to do it all over again and that’s why I constantly create new challenges for myself. I feel nothing is possible and everything we set our minds to we can accomplish.

EB Public Relations – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
EB Public Relations is a PR and Social Media Marketing agency that works with events and influencers. What sets us apart from other agencies is that we create specific campaigns tailored to our clients’ needs to give them exposure in the Hispanic market in the US, Latin America, Puerto Rico and Spain. We achieve this through traditional media exposure like: TV, radio, magazines and newspapers; and modern media like influencer platforms on social media. We also expose our clients at the entertainment industry’s most important events (Latin Grammys, Latin Billboards, Teleton, etc.).

What we are most proud of is that in only two years we have gained the support and trust of renowned companies and artists which we can now call clients: Greivis Vasquez (NBA player), Reykon (reggaeton singer), Camerich (furniture store), Kalimba (singer) and many more.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Every day I’m proud and grateful for what I built. It is very hard to leave your country and start on your own from scratch, I believe that it could be even harder to pursue a dream or passion.

I am most proud of working with people that I admire since this was all a dream plus, calling some of the clients! I would never thought in my past that this would ever happen.
