Enase, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I’m passionate and committed to helping people. I love to bring people together. In and out of my professional life, I’m always finding myself in the middle of planning fun and memorable events for the people around me. I have always been a creative individual. I started off always setting up birthday parties for friends, families and when I entered the workforce, I found myself planning office events. In 2017 I realized that I was absolutely in love with planning and designing events. I launched my business and started planning weddings, baby showers and corporate events.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Smooth? Launching a business always has its ups and downs. Many people have capital when they launch their business but I started with only $400. One of the biggest struggles I faced was gaining revenue. As a planner, everyone sees the final product but no one sees our restless nights, we sleep, eat, drink planning. When I first started, I did everything myself but as we grew, I’ve been able to hire vendors and employees.
Please tell us about E&M Inclusive Events.
I specialize in personalizing diverse events for each client and handling stressful events. From the moment your guests receive an invitation to when they take their parting gift, we ensure everything is meticulously planned. We have many years of experience in producing fundraisers, galas, community engagements, milestone events and lifetime achievements. We carefully blend design elements to create an impeccable environment that does more than attract attention; it truly makes a statement. In addition to our existing décor elements, our reliable, local artisans have the capabilities to fabricate custom pieces based on your unique specifications and theme. Together, we’ll embrace your guests and keep them talking for years to come. My signature is creative and tasteful designs with incredible attention to detail. I wouldn’t be who I am today if it wasn’t for Jesus Christ. My business verse is Jeremiah 29:11. For I know the plans that I have for you plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and future.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I would come up with a better support system.
