Today we’d like to introduce you to Emmanuela Stanislaus.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I’m a travel blogger and I started basically from my love of traveling. I went on my first international flight at the age of 7 and have been hooked ever since. I love traveling and enjoy motivating others to do the same. It all started when some co-workers (yes, I work full time) continuously encouraged me to create a blog to highlight my travels. I was pretty hesitant about it since I have a lot of work and other things on my plate but decided to take the plunge. I launched my blog in August 2016 and have been happy about the little travel community that I have built through it and on social media. I love traveling mostly to the Caribbean and Mexico. I also enjoy exploring South Florida and the rest of the country.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road by any means. I think that the biggest struggle has been trying not to compare myself to others. There are so many successful travel bloggers out there and it can be hard to feel like you’re not making an impact or that your pictures or posts aren’t as good as theirs. I may also want to travel more often but because of my busy schedule, I may not be able to fit as much in as I want. I’ve learned that I have to do the best that I can and that the success that is meant for me will find me.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Jetsetter’s Diary – what should we know?
Jetsetter’s Diary is a travel blog in which I provide travel inspiration and tips. The inspiration is focused more on my travels which is mostly to the Caribbean, Mexico and stateside. I love that I’m able to inspire others to see the world. I believe that through travel, you can learn more about yourself and others. It’s the best teacher.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I think that my success is a result of my dedication as well as my focus on helping others. Through my sharing about travel, I am impacting others. I’m encouraged by the messages that I receive about people planning their travel because of something that I shared or posted.
