Today we’d like to introduce you to Emily Safran.
Emily, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I always had a passion and love for hair, I grew up going to the salon every week with my mother and grandmother and knew this was the field I wanted to go in. My father and mother thought it was important for me to first attend college and get a degree in marketing. From there I knew hair was still my passion. After working in the fashion industry in NYC, I told my family I was ready to peruse my dream and attend hair school.
I went to Aveda in Soho New York. I knew one day I wanted to do more than just be behind the chair. I started from the bottom assisting some of the best Hairdressers in Manhattan. I learned from the best, I then decided it was time to learn the business side of this industry, I took a job with LBP as an inside sales rep for Oribe. There I learned all about the business working and visiting salons on a daily basis.
The more I did this, the more I realized how much I loved the Salon world. Two years later, I took over an existing salon Elle Air Beauty Bar. Today, I still own Elle Air Beauty Bar, and we have so many exciting changes happening that I can not wait to share with you all! Stay tuned for the new name and brand of Elle Air. 🙂
Has it been a smooth road?
Nothing worth it is ever a smooth road. Owning a salon has been one of the most changelings yet most rewarding experience. You constantly grow and learn, and that is what makes this so worth it.

Elle Air is Miamis one-stop beauty shop. We specialize in balayage, hair color corrections, Haircuts, Keratin, Extensions makeup and much more. We are a New York boutique feel salon and strive ourselves on nothing but the best customer service. We believe life is about healthy hair, we correct and fix hair. We use luxury products such as Loreal Professional color, Oribe and Bumble and Bumble products.
I believe we are different than others because we are honest, we truly care about you and your needs. We would rather lose money making sure your hair is protected then gain money and ruin your hair. Everyone at Elle Air has been trained the Elle Airway so that every client knows they are in good hands no matter whose chair they are in.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I believe Miami is one of the places for this industry. Everyone here loves to feel good and look good. We have some of the best master colorist and stylists in this city to learn from.
