Meet Emanuela de Paula of The Real Healthy Model

Today we’d like to introduce you to Emanuela de Paula.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Emanuela. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Hi guys, I’m originally from Cabo de Santo Agostinho, a small town in the northeast part of Brazil. Coming from a humble family, life was very simple back home where I hear about the possibility to become a model but it seemed so far from my reality.

I first moved to NYC in 2005 to pursue my dream and Signed with the Marilyn Agency at the time. My career started off with a major story for W magazine, photographed by Michael Thompson which really kicked off in the right direction followed by runway work for Ralph Lauren, Bill Blass, Zac Posen, Diane von Furstenberg, Jennifer Lopez’ Sweetface, Kenneth Cole, Lacoste, Rebecca Taylor, Tommy Hilfiger, and Yigal Azrouël.

I recall three major moments in my career, Being an angel for Victoria’s secret, featuring the Pirelli calendar in 2008 by Peter beard, and photographing a beauty campaign for MAC Barbie Collection with Mert and Marcus. I’ve been praised by Naomi Campbell and Anna Wintour of Vogue and recently I became a mother in 2019 and with that, I finished my course and received my certificate of HOLISTIC and INTEGRATIVE HEALTH COACH. I’ve always loved food and cooking, so I decided to take a step further and start up a new business “Therealhealthymodel” where I plan to direct young models or anyone that is looking to improve their relationship with food and with themselves.

I have been a Fashion model for the past 16 years and it has been the best school life could have got me. Learned to survive and to be adventures at the same time.

Has it been a smooth road?
Not at all. Struggles all the way and the most important lesson is not to give up. Learn from mistakes and grow from them.

Looking back, I realized I’ve achieved so much more than I expected, especially coming from such a small town in the North of Brazil.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I’m a fashion model current working with Women management and recently started my new business called: The Real Healthy Model as a Holistic and Integrative Health coach.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Definitely. Miami reminds me of Brazil, and a lot. The weather, the people, mix of cultures. The quality of life here is top-notch.
