Elizabeth, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
For as long as I can remember, I have always been obsessed with planning the perfect party and a hopeless romantic. When I was 14, I was watching a show about wedding planners and it hit me then and there that was the career I wanted. Although, at that time it seemed very far fetched as wedding planners were not what they are today, at least as I could see. I began working in hospitality and discovered my love for people and the industry. Being able to connect with others and really listen to their ideas is a life long trait that I am grateful to have from working with all sorts of different people and backgrounds.
I was barely out of my teens when I was presented with a wonderful opportunity of shadowing one of the best planners around at a beautiful country club. After my first day, I knew this was the path I meant for. It was exciting but also overwhelming and taught me so much. It also made me realize I wanted to have the experience in a variety of locations and start my own wedding planning business.
I was lucky enough to have many good friends start to get married and allow me to help them with their own weddings. Every event came with different scenarios, ideas, logistics and I love that! From their trust and referrals, Everlasting Events Coordination was born!
Has it been a smooth road?
I don’t think owning your own business is ever a smooth road, no matter how long you’ve been doing it. Life will always throw you curve balls. I love the quote from Finding Nemo, “Just keep swimming”. Some days, it’s my mantra more than others.
Specific to the wedding industry, I think the biggest struggle is portraying to clients just how essential having a wedding planner is. After every wedding, not only the couple but their family, bridal party and guests, are always so thankful for the ease of the day due to our assistance. From planning logistics and timelines to calmly adjusting to factors that come about through the day, we take all this on so they can truly focus on the amazing day ahead of them.

Everlasting Events Coordination is an award winning full service wedding planning company. We discuss couples’ visions for their wedding days as well as their budgets, and will develop a plan to find suitable locations for the ceremony and the reception, based upon the number of guests they want to invite. We also connect engaged couples with affordable and dependable dress makers, florists, bakers, caterers, DJs and other wedding professionals. We handle all aspects of the planning of clients’ weddings, including destination weddings in South Florida.

Born and raised here, there are so many things I love about it! I love that we are able to hold weddings year round and that there are so many different options for them! I’d say what I like best and least are the same… the weather!
