Today we’d like to introduce you to Elizabeth de Aguirre.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Elizabeth. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I always wanted to be a Dentist since I was 6 years old. I got my Dental degree in 1997 at Marquette University. I worked at different offices in Miami as an associate for a number of years and about 15 years ago I decided to purchase a practice in Coral gables…. a year later I purchased the second location in Hialeah. I continued to take advanced training to keep up to date with the latest technology. In 2012 I moved my gables office to a new location which I built out in Douglas Entrance. I love what I do and I like helping people be healthy while giving them a beautiful smile.
Has it been a smooth road?
The most difficult part for me was learning how to run a business. They don’t really teach that in dental school too much. I had to take extra classes to learn that side of it. Also finding the right people to work for me who shared my vision and philosophy. That took many years as well, but I have a great team now. You can’t run a Dental office by yourself. You need a good office staff as well.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
I am a general dentist and I do about every aspect of dentistry. Cosmetic veneers and crowns, implants, Invisalign, braces, sleep apnea devices, I have associates that do root canals and difficult extractions along with other dental procedures as well. I guess I am known the best for giving painless injections. Many of my patients say I have the hands of an angel.
I am most proud of my office as a whole because we treat out patients like family. I listen to them and their concerns and try to help them achieve a desired outcome while keeping them healthy. I think this sets me apart from others. I was also voted the best dentist in Time Magazine in 2012.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love the different cultures, variety of different foods, sunny weather and beaches.
I like the least the traffic and construction.
