So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Originally from the vibrant, cosmopolitan capital of Russia, my passion and interests clearly lay elsewhere… After graduating in Law and a majoring in English Language and Literature, followed a successful career in modelling. Milan, Dubai, Monte Carlo…. It would certainly would have been a blissful experience to have added Miami to that list of catwalks.
Seeking sun, sea and spontaneity drove myself to start a company that would adapt to the front cover package of the Florida highlife – ‘the best or nothing’. Totally and wholly.
During multiple holiday trips while residing in the prestigious Surrey province of England, my family let know that the rain and cold winters were no longer as romantic or as picturesque as having tea with Her Highness… May 2015 and each of our dreams were fulfilled…
A successful startup, we have been very privileged to have established contracts for major global hotel and liquor brands, whilst accommodating every girls’ ‘big day’, turning their dreams into reality delivering them in style to step “down the aisle” straight out of our gorgeous white Hummer limo.
We continue to work hard, adding new clients, marketing projects and opening up to new locations on almost weekly basis. This would however never have been achieved without the help of friends we have made since arriving in the Orange state and the ambitions posed by the elite of Sunshine state.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Business, a rollercoaster within any industry. Challenges are made even more exciting when you are surrounded by the inspiring buildings, beaches and Miami inhabitants on offer.
We knew coming to Florida, it would be a tough competition with established companies. However having over 15 years of offering tailor-made services for the elite within entertainments, events and sport in Dubai, the UK and South Africa, we simply could not turn down the opportunity to try our skills at offering our expertise to a new venture by starting Knightsbridge Limousine right here in South Florida.
“To dream is to dare” … The amazing comes with its own challenges, but even with our multi-continental expertise, we have come to learn and enjoy as particularly exploring new States offers a new culture requiring a new approach in terms of marketing, weather and vehicle choice – all of it allowing us to relentlessly grow and develop beyond any borders that each new challenge and opportunity leaves us with 5 stars.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Knightsbridge Limousine – what should we know?
Being a transportation company the desire is to continuously grow. We look to add new locations constantly and work hard to fulfill every request. So far we have taken event transportation to Key West, Naples, Orlando, New Orleans and have even ran the length of the A1A all the way to New York for one-off attraction event. These constant opportunities not only bring in new clients and fascinating challenges and unique requests.
We want our employees to feel valued working for Knightsbridge Limousine, with learning the skills to may be one day manage their own companies, in transportation and not just in the US!
We put time and always ask for ambitious, driven individuals in order to train up to the standards!
What role has luck (good luck or bad luck) played in your life and business?
I have always remained an affirmed believer in the saying, “The harder you work, the luckier you get.” This has proven true throughout all my ventures. Not just with Knightsbridge Limousine, even with every company I have worked for.
After graduating in law, my big start was at LukOil (one of Russia’s major resource companies and one of the world’s largest oil producers) working closely with the owners and board of the corporation. Despite this opportunity being presented to me at such a young age, I was able to take away so much that I still carry with me, within business and everyday life. You can say that landing such a biggest and insightful role required a certain amount of luck, but I saw this as a one-off opportunity to gain as much learning and understanding as much as I could from how such a corporation manages its employees and departments from the top down.
Opportunities can present themselves in mysterious ways in life.
We have been lucky and accustomed to receive in Dubai and Europe. Both are very cultural, glamorous and Dubai especially… There’s no other place that does it as big or bold as them. Except for, may be, Miami. It must be the heat!
