Dr. Vendryes, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Board certified medical doctor. Anesthesiologist with sub specialty in interventional pain management.
Background in wellness. As part of my pain management practice being highly skilled in injecting and use of Botox for migraine control I segwayed into aesthetics use of Botox, fillers and skin care.
Our aim is to provide a comfortable relaxed, discrete practice for the Miami Shores resident.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has been somewhat of a struggle in that we are located inside the Miami Shores Medical Center with no frontage.
Advertising via the Chamber of Commerce monthly newsletter, local newspaper, direct home mailing, Yelp, Google and face book have still not yielded any response with customers.
Location seems to be a problem.

My practice combines my pain management and my med spa presently.
On the aesthetic side we do Laser hair removal, Botox for cosmetics as well as for pain management.
We do filler for fine lines and wrinkle removal. Chemical peels for skin discoloration, fine lines and wrinkles.
Micro needling for acne scar removal and skin texturing. Double chin reduction and sculptra for buttock contouring and enhancement. We also do regular deep cleansing facials. Intravenous vitamin infusions such as Myers cocktails.
Advance Pain Management is the pain side of my practice. I am fellowship trained with over 15 years’ experience. We treat referrals for chronic pain conditions, including cancer, low back pain, painful neuropathy, chronic neck and Migraine headache pains.
We are interventional orientated towards treating the underlying cause of the pain.
We perform epidural steroid injections both cervical and lumbar. We do all the major joint injections, Facet blocks, radio frequency denervations, Spinal cord stimulation trials and permanent implants. Trial for intrathecal narcotic and pump implant. Spinal tractioning
What were you like growing up?
Grew up in Jamaica, had a wonderful care free very outgoing childhood.
Had loving caring parents, the best.
Attended a British Grammar school Wolmers Boys school. The oldest in the Caribbean founded in 1729.
Represented my school in soccer, track and field, table tennis, Captain of the field hockey team. Head boy (Valedictorian).
Married to Sonia since 1974 with 3 wonderful children.
Present interest, My Med Spa, pain practice and skiing.
