Today we’d like to introduce you to Denise Cronwall.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Denise. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
The desire to design activewear arose in me about ten years ago when it was hard to find options beyond those that the large multi-national brands offered. Driven by the idea of creating a unique boutique-style activewear line I equipped myself with a fashion design degree and started experimenting. In 2012 my brother, with his sales and business administration background, joined forces and that is when the year the company got off the ground.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been one challenge after another but that’s the journey. Starting from scratch and growing slowly but steadily has been the key to success for us as each challenge is a learning experience that prepares you for the next step. In the design aspect of the business, one of the first big challenges has been overcoming the limitations in material varieties available when producing small volumes.
Denise Cronwall Activewear – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We design and manufacture the most refined women’s tennis-, golf- & fitness wear available on the market today.
We proudly manufacture locally in Miami USA! We believe that the closeness to the product holds the key to the creation of truly unique garments.
Denise Cronwall designs are recognizable for their feminine styling, flattering fit and elegant finishes.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Watching professional women’s tennis player Mona Barthel win the Swedish Open 2014 in a dress I designed. I’m originally Swedish so it was a full-circle kind of moment for me.
