Meet Danielle Simone of Danimade Kitchen

Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Simone.

Danielle, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I love playing tennis and working out because I really, really, really, love food! Nice to meet you, I’m Dani, Founder of DaniMade Kitchen. As a former competitive tennis player, what I put into my body always mattered. If I ate like crap, I felt like crap. Then I played like crap! How you fuel your body dictates what comes next. The better you feel, the better you perform. I believe your lifestyle shouldn’t be any different. I take pride in all the cherished memories I have from growing up in a big Italian family who always brought us all together with food. Food is love, and bringing people together through food is my way of spreading the love… as thick as Nutella! So back in 2014 I decided to start publishing and sharing my recipes through my blog and social media.

I continue to practice a sustainable balance of exercise and healthy eating while also making room for indulgence. I want everyone to have the opportunity of understanding how to turn health into a lifestyle. No diets, no secrets. I believe home cooking is a fundamental foundation to building a healthier lifestyle. I want my audience to catch sight of an idea they can learn from me and make it their own. DaniMade Kitchen isn’t here to tell you what to do. I am here to guide you as you create what you want to do. My recipes aren’t a secret formula of rules. They are guidelines. That’s what I like about cooking, you can do whatever you want and like. I am passionate about helping my readers gain confidence in the kitchen to cook recipes without feeling intimidated. Be patient, give it some time and play, soon it becomes natural and easy. If a recipe calls for an ingredient you don’t like, don’t use it. Play and have fun, not as much can go wrong as you think. Make it your own, then you can add your name in the blank, “____” made.

During the weekdays, you can find me in my classroom teaching energetic third graders. When I am not in the classroom, I am working on building my DaniMade brand by creating valuable content I can share with my community and audience through my food blog, social media, services and events.

Has it been a smooth road?
I have been fortunate and there hasn’t been any major struggles along my way. However, there is never a dull moment. As a blogger, I am constantly juggling the many different hats that come with this job. It’s important to stay up to date with social media platforms, video editing, Google, content creations, trends and recipe development.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
I try to strive on creating recipes anyone can cook at home. I want everyone to have the opportunity of understanding how to turn health into a lifestyle. To set myself apart from others, I like to display honesty with things that can go wrong or ways to improvise as our day to day lives can be unpredictable.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love the opportunity in South Florida. Networking with other young professionals in the Miami areas is always fun. Everyone is excited about learning, meeting new people and collaborating to discover new ways to share great content together.
