Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniel Echague
Hi Daniel, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
It was the year 2011, back then my life revolved around music. In the mornings, I studied Music Business at Miami Dade College, and in the afternoons, I worked at a Conservatory in the city of Doral, Florida. At that moment, I didn’t have much responsibility on my shoulders, so I was doing what I loved without much effort. After all, I thought that in my future, I would end up making a living doing something related to the show business. Boy, was I wrong.
One day, while I was entering data into an Excel spreadsheet, a very kind lady asked me if I was interested in getting into the real estate world, as her husband had a real estate company, and they were looking for someone to help with the day-to-day tasks. I thanked her for her consideration but declined immediately. I wanted to live the party life, and this other thing sounded very serious.
A year passed, and another random afternoon, the lady extended the invitation again. Times had changed. I was no longer taking things so lightly, and I needed to work more. In 2012, I was rebuilding my life in one way or another because that year, I regularized my immigration status. I was no longer an undocumented immigrant. I could now afford to have dreams, goals, tangible aspirations; I could legally drive a car, have regular jobs, and I could stop running and hiding whenever I saw an immigration officer. Without further ado, I made the difficult decision to leave college and accept the job.
I started working at the real estate agency in the mornings, like a true apprentice, learning and absorbing all the information I could. In the afternoons, I continued working at the music school, and at night, for many months, I studied for the Real Estate license. I took the course online, and I should have finished it sooner, but it was hard to keep my eyes open at that hour.
In 2013, I finally got my long-awaited real estate agent license and left my artistic dream behind, dedicating myself fully to Real Estate. Now, let’s fast forward to the end of 2018, after years of working full time in a real estate brokerage and participating in hundreds of transactions, where I was the Broker’s assistant and the direct support for all the agents in the company.
At the beginning of 2019, I joined Elite Sales Group, an agency founded by my wife. Now, with more knowledge, experience, and responsibility. Here, I met and rubbed shoulders with the best realtors in the industry, whether because they worked with me or because we coincided in transactions. The challenges grew, but I faced them head-on, working directly or assisting in million-dollar contracts.
In 2021, during the pandemic, I had the honor of being recognized as one of the Top 20 agents under 40 by the Miami Realtors Association, for my performance and success as an industry agent.
Today, I dedicate myself to serving my clients in a personalized way to help them achieve their goals in the real estate sector. For my sellers, I aim to help them get the most money possible for their investment, taking away the headache of the process. For my buyers, I strive to help them obtain their dream property or make the most productive investment, guiding them every step of the way and ensuring everything happens smoothly.
What I enjoy most about this business are the relationships I create and develop with my clients. You must always keep in mind that although it’s my job to serve, for my clients, these are important life decisions that affect them and their families. This is what motivates me to pursue success and a happy ending for every transaction. If I can contribute something positive to each of my clients’ lives, then I’ve won the game.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not. Real Estate is a career in which you really learn along the way. Each transaction is a universe of it’s own and you deal with a lot of different people, mostly good people, but there are a few bad ones for sure. Oh yeah, I almost got murdered once at a property.
We’ve been impressed with Elite Sales Group Real Estate, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
I could mention many things that I love about Miami, like the food, the culture, it’s geographic location, etc., but if I have to choose one is that Miami is my home. Also, for many people that don’t live constantly in Miami, this city is their home away from home. Is the capital of Latin America.
My least favorite thing about this wonderful place… mosquitoes.
