Today we’d like to introduce you to Cristol Music.
So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started my musical ventures by playing the saxophone in elementary school to later singing in my first talent show in middle school, then joining the band, chorus and drama in high school. I sang “I believe I can fly” at the school’s talent show, then went to college where I played football and also joined the gospel choir.
I recorded my first rap song before dropping out of college and becoming Cristol. The love I have for music took over my life and when becoming Cristol, I went all the way in, knowing I was meant to do this. I recorded my first album in 2001, took it to the streets and put in the daily grind on the corner selling cds throughout my city of St. Pete.
Forward to 2020, I’m now one of the hottest artists from my hometown making international noise with my new single Country Twerk.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has not been a smooth road. One time I hit full rotation on our big radio station but about a week before I knew I would get rotation I went to the club to celebrate the success of my song and ended up falling off the couch in the club, tearing my patella, which landed me on bed rest for ten months.
I had to learn how to walk after the bed rest. Because of the injury, I was forced to turn down more than 65 shows and missed a lot of big events. Missing out on all that show money and being out of the game was a very hard time for me mentally but I kept pushing and found a way to regain my buzz.
Hussch Boy – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?

We are proud of our whole team, everyone worked so hard in their respective specialties and allowed no egos getting in the way of our main goal as a company. We are a real family and we don’t just focus on the music over here at Hussch Boy, we make sure our family is good at all times, its priority to us.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success is achieving any goal you set out to achieve. To live everyday and pay off bills doing what you love to do is success. I’ve been able to live a good life, pay my bills and provide for my family being an artist and I’m so proud to say that. I have new goals and it begins first and foremost with having generational wealth. I want to make sure my sons’ kids and their kids are good forever along with my entire family.
