Meet Cristina Jaramillo of Criss Jaramillo Photography in Pembroke Pines

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cristina Jaramillo.

Cristina, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’m a Publicist, graduated from college back in Colombia.
That was my first encounter with photography and back then we used to work with film. When I received my diploma, I decided to study a year more of studio lighting techniques and fashion photography. Years later, I moved to the United States. When I felt established, I started to assist wedding photographers and five years later, I decided to open my own brand/studio as a commercial photographer.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Not that bad, but not easy. First of all, equipments are expensive so it takes time to get the gear and I wanted it top of the line…
It takes time to make noise and start to be recognized as a professional photographer.
Lots of shoots, networking, preparation, and definitely find your own style.

I’m a commercial photographer in Miami and Broward county area. I specialized in product, portrait, and lifestyle.
I have my own studio in Pembroke Pines, so is very convenient for clients to walk in and work in a very creative, smooth and relaxed space. Also, great for product and catalog production.

Is there anyone, in particular, you would like to recognize? Mentors, etc?
First of all, my husband who’s been my biggest support and fan.
Entrepreneurs and networking teams that I’ve been working with and friends who become the first clients.

• 1.5 hours family session from $250.00
• Half-day work from $385.00 and full-day from $700.00
