Meet Claudia Clavier and José Enrique Zambrano of Familia sin Agenda in Pompano Beach

Today we’d like to introduce you to Claudia Clavier and José Enrique Zambrano.

So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
We are a Venezuelan traveling family of five (mom, dad, and three kids). We design a family project in which we move from our comfort zone, to promote family values and get to know different cultures, inspiring others to live life in a simple and authentic way.

Our travels took us to more than 100 cities around the world, we have many memories, anecdotes and knowledgeable experiences, but the best outcome of this journey after our growth as a family is the people. We found the kindest people who taught us many lessons for life. Like Jose and Mira from Portugal, who, without even know us before, opened their home in Porto to spent New Year´s with us, Or Josephine and Patrick, who inspired us to go deep in our faith with their example of family, love and prayer.

We have been living in Florida for three years now. Ever since we made the gap year, our mindset changed completely towards caring for the environment, help others and have the conscience of the power that we as part of the planet have to make a positive impact. Consequently, we have been giving our children the opportunity to help the homeless, teaching them the importance of being kind and step into action and not only complain about problems in the world, we have a social responsibility campaign called #campañacompartir5 in IG @familiasinagenda which is a call to action to everyone who wants to help and doesn’t know how to. We are hosts for second-hand clothes and donated food from our neighbors, and we go many routes around our reach to help the poor.

In our blog and social media, we dedicate ourselves to help others make their dreams come true by giving them our tips and thoughts about family living, human values, travel with kids, and even food! Our goal is to make you go out and pursue your dream because we are a living proof of success in this matter. We also have a book available on amazon: ” The adventure we dreamed of” in which you will find good advice on how to make a smart luggage to travel light, many highlights of the places we visited, and also the flat points like the time we almost spend the night on our SUV because the hotel front desk closed at 6:30 pm and we arrived at 8:30pm…You will end up wanting to go and travel the globe! Easy to read, inspiring material for this summer reading.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
There has been some bad experiences in hotels that we thought were ok, but end up being pretty messy and dirty. One time, in an apart-hotel in Nice, We were preparing to go to sleep at 11:00 pm and out of nowhere, a person broke into our room without knocking the door and then went out and ran, so strange and scary at the same time. That night we went to bed with a chair pushed against the door just in case.

We got lost endless times because we chose not to travel with a cell phone, so we just had maps or GPS to lead the way.

Homeschooling the kids was definitely a challenge for us. We were determined to take them by the hand throughout the school year, but this path was not smooth at all, there were better days than others, and in addition they received a lot of culture and contact with new languages.

Coexistence 24/7 was another interesting discovery of the journey. We ended up knowing traits of us that we had not known in 15 years of marriage plus four years of dating. Our intimacy schedule had to change due to the constant presence of our children around. But at the end of the day, resilience was the value that led us to grow as a family and is a value that has prepared us for our post-trip migration to the US and now has help us to face quarantine.

Please tell us about Familia sin Agenda.
We are content creators in family topics. We work with companies to speak about work-family balance, on how to humanize companies with practices that give employees the balance they need to be happy and stable and therefore take better decisions for the business.

We also are hosts in a TV show of Families Values on a Mexican-American family network called Maria Vision. Every week we host an expert to talk about a family-related topic, and them we share what we learned with our audience.

In our social media, we have an active community that we love and take care of. With them, we share our everyday life, our ups and downs, and we often make great collaborations with other accounts that have related valuable content, that helps us all grow as the big family we are.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
No luck, just God.

God has lead our way all the time. When we have a disappointment, we understand that something better will come to us in the future. God´s time is different than human time, we work everyday to understand that things will come our way if we work hard and have patience.

We feel very fortunate and grateful with what God has given us our family specially. Our way to retribute these blessings is to share our experience so more families can grow and get out of their comfort zone to pursue their dreams too.
