Meet Cindy Soto of Sweet Servings Events in Wellington

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cindy Soto.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Cindy . So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I have always had a passion for working hard and enjoying what I do with creativity and flare. Even while working for many years in the travel industry and as a teacher’s assistant in a private school, I would find other ways to put my energy and creativity to good use – I guess, I’m a workaholic, though, I don’t see myself that way.

I have always enjoyed great parties and festive occasions, which drove me to start my previous businesses – Pop Goes The Weasel and My Dream Party, both of which provided an outlet for my creativity and allowed me to plan great custom parties and memories for boys and girls alike for many years. That eventually, got me thinking – what kind of party theme would people of all ages really enjoy, what’s the one core theme everyone can enjoy? And it hit me, candy and desserts! That’s how the idea for Sweet Servings was born. Which lead into event planning. The rest as they say is history, though being the type of person I am, I’m still evolving my brand.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I think every business starting out has its struggles. Once you find your direction and follow your plan everything falls into place. Meeting the right people in the industry gaining their trust, working beside them and making sure I always go the extra mile for everyone makes things flow and the road much easier.

Sweet Servings creates custom candy and dessert stations, edible party favors and decor. I specialize in creating themes that are clever and out of the ordinary. Making sure every guest is given the WOW factor when they walk into a room we designed. Every creation is unique. We feel it’s all about the details and making sure we have our clients vision come to life. When the event is over, it’s not the end. We build our product on lasting friendships while taking pride in all the details making sure our clients events are remembered, setting us apart of the others.

What were you like growing up?
I grew up in New York and moved with my family to Florida attending Miami Lakes Senior High School and Miami Dade Collage. I was always out going and friendly. Today, I still see most of my friends from high school. I was very involved in clubs and always had a love for crafts. I love to create, make things that are different and stand out. I love to plan and set goals for myself making sure to achieve as many as I can.
