Today we’d like to introduce you to Christo Askew and Andres Andres.
Andres started a reupholstery business over 25 years ago and gradually increased production, talent and clientele over the years. He has been working with some of the best designers in South Florida and throughout the world manufacturing custom one of a kind furniture for residential and commercial projects. Chris has been in project management for over 20 years for international corporations directing creativity, design and manufacturing for a variety of retail outlets. Andres and Chris partnered together about 1 1/2 years ago and established the A Squared Design Studio. Together, they cater to Designers of the trade as well as Architects and Developers for residential and hospitality projects all around the world. Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
We have been fortunate enough that each other’s strengths overlook our weaknesses, but with every new business, there are always some struggles. Developing and launching a new brand is never easy and it takes time, knowledge and overall passion. Partnering with the right client is a challenge in itself as we do not all necessarily see eye to eye with our designs or visions. But compromising is a great asset we both enable in our business with our clients to allow everyone’s strengths shine through.

A Squared Design Studio will continue as a source for custom furniture and decor for the residential and hospitality trade as well as introducing our interior design services and a large catalog e-commerce shopping platform to be enjoyed by everyone across the continental United States. If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
There is no way to start anything new without having struggles and challenges. Experience and knowledge are the best assets to creating a vision.
