Meet Marvin Sublett of Chainwork in North Miami

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marvin Sublett.

Marvin, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I was drawn to the field of physical therapy after battling my own sport-related injuries throughout high school and college. I went on to study exercise physiology. and eventually decided to pursue a Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Mercer University. I started my career in sports rehabilitation in Miami, FL, treating athletes of all levels, from middle school to the USA Olympic Team. Soon after, I found the urge to create a brand of my own, one that emphasizes quality of service and could bridge the gap between physical therapy and performance training. In 2018, I co-founded Chainwork with Ashley Schneider, DPT, a physical therapy and movement performance practice in North Miami, FL.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road to starting Chainwork has been rewarding but also rigorous. In addition to maintaining a level of excellence as a clinician, maneuvering the nuances of customer service, marketing and branding strategy has been quite a challenge. There have definitely been some obstacles along the way. One year after opening Chainwork, we received the opportunity to expand to a larger facility. Maintaining productivity during the move was tough, but it pushed us to expand our staff and service options and think bigger in general. Obviously, COVID-19 has been a major obstacle for us, as with everyone else. We had to learn to pivot quickly and get creative on how we would interact with our clients and handle the financial implications associated with the pandemic. Ultimately, being ready to adapt to any situation and problem-solve on a day-to-day basis has been the real challenge along the way.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Chainwork – what should we know?
