Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandon Sirota.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I fell in love with film from as far back as I can remember. Watching Pierce Brosnan in the 1995 James Bond film, Tomorrow Never Dies or Robin Williams in Mrs. Doubtfire. I was acting in plays from the age of 10. Memorizing comedians sets, reading scripts from movies online, filming my own in the backyard.
At the age of 13, I started my own in house production company, at the time I named it “iClips Entertainment”. I later learned that copyright was a real thing. That’s a story for another time. I renamed and rebranded into “ProMediaFx Productions”. Working with over 30 clients from small to large over the years I learned invaluable lessons.
In college I ventured further into the industry, working in a multitude of roles for some major network productions. All of which culminated in the opportunity to attend the Primetime Emmy Awards in 2016. Following that, I was casted in a major TV network show. Which I later watched fall apart before it even began as Hurricane Maria destroyed the locations we planned to use in Puerto Rico.
Today, I work as a Marketing and Communications Specialist at my alma mater Florida Atlantic University. I also continue to pursue my career in film as an Actor and Producer. Most recently I was casted in a short film, Alligator in the Pool, which can be found here: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9039042/.
I am always looking for new opportunities to pursue my passion!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Nothing is ever easy! Without failure, success doesn’t exist.
I have definitely tripped and fallen along the way. I can proudly say that I am definitely not where I want to be and I really don’t think anyone ever is. I mean I am happy but at the same time, I’m hungry. Each miss step and struggle I encounter are absorbed into me. Almost like pac man running around the universe. I just keep getting up and trying again, maybe sometimes in a different way but I always try again. I’m in a constant pursuit to better myself, expand my knowledge, and further my career.
Brandon Sirota – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
If I’m known for anything today, it would be my time on Snapchat and other social media platforms. Partnering with brands, doing weekly giveaways and shouting my intro to each snap at the camera, “WHAT’S UP YOU BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE OF THE SNAPCHAT UNIVERSE”. I encountered fans and “Beautiful People” all over the world. It’s really something special. I’m not sure how my reach spread so quickly and so broadly but my consistency in traveling at the time it peaked definitely helped my brand along the way.
Another aspect of my brand tagline would be the outro or ending I always use in every video. I shout “Let’s Go!” and point to the camera. It’s not actually supposed to mean “let’s go” as in go somewhere. It’s more of call to action to tell people to be inspired. To say let’s do whatever we want to do, let’s go do something. To not be afraid to pursue our goals!
As an actor, you probably wouldn’t know me yet. I’m local, based in South Florida and still knocking on doors looking for any and ever chance I can to practice my craft. I really would just love an opportunity to shine and show the world who I am and who I can be through the art of storytelling.
What sets me apart? I think a combination of my outgoing personality, passion for my work, and solid vision make me a unique character in a world that’s full of them. I know where I’m supposed to be in life, or at least where I want to be and I’m just starting the process of making it to my destination.
So, what should we be on the lookout for, what’s next in store for you?
I have a lot of future plans. My mind is open. Maybe even pursuing a political office is an idea for the future. I think the best thing any citizen can do is serve their community and give back.
Though right now, my future plans remain consistent, I want to be an Actor and I want to be in the Film/Entertainment industry. I love telling stories and there’s no better way to tell a story than to become that character yourself and tell their story.
No one really knows what the future might hold but I’m looking forward to every second of it.
