Meet Bert Oliva of BOWAworld

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bert Oliva.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Bert. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I grew up in Little Havana with a single mom. Worked my way into Xerox and then branched out on my own business Altius Group an award-winning Advertising Agency servicing clients like HBO Latin America, Burger King, AXN, City if Sunny Isles Beach, etc.

Then moved on to speaking and motivating audiences started in non-profit and children arenas then moved on to businesses and entrepreneurs, nowadays I speak around the world and travel with my team to move and inspire audiences. We focus on Leadership & Human Behavior realms. I am getting ready to launch our book called Don’t Drink the Koolaide on Nov. 21st. – personal development book to help to get from negative mindsets to positive results in your life. We also have a non-profit called Motivational Missionaries where we educate youth and teach them an awareness of social issues like Human Trafficking, Bullying, and Sexual Assault.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Biggest struggle is growing up in the hood and not understanding opportunities, mentorship and setting goals early on. When I decided to become a professional speaker there was no Latin speakers market.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
We are professional speakers. What makes us different is that we are a REAL team.

We are a team unlike any other speakers out there it is not the Bert show. It’s about all of us and that is why our organization is called BOWA (Be One With Another).

We take businesses from small to Fortune 500 and work with their management of systems and modify them to fit the onboard team and make them use their potential for bottom-line results.

We work with all avenues from training your sales team, ramping up the operations personnel, consulting to coaching your executives. With small businesses, we teach them all avenues of marketing and brand positioning their services and products.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up I was a breakdancer, but I knew I always wanted to help mentor children since I never had a father, a brother or someone to look up to. I did not have a lot of opportunities. Most of my friends growing up are dead or in prison. But I wanted to make sure I did something with my life. I did not know success or anyone who had been successful, at least legally. I did grow up in Miami in the 80’s, lol. Human behavior and why people do what they do has always interested me till this day.
