Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Daniels.
Ashley, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My name is Ashley Daniels. I am a west palm beach native. I am a Registered Nurse, Mentor, Author, and philanthropist. It all began last fall 2018. I began my organization “Becoming More”, where I mentor children and provided empowerment services for families and young adults. It was always my hope after becoming a Registered Nurse to help and to give back to others. I have served the community in several ways, by giving back, empowering others, and mentoring children and adults.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It hasn’t always been easy. I have had my shares of ups and downs. I have known success but I have also known failure as well, both have taught me lessons. I have been in certain situations in which I have needed mentorship and a coach and that is exactly why I advocate for mentorship and life coaching. I believe it gives you a point of reference. During my most difficult and challenging times, after nursing school, I was able through coaching with Dr. Sonia Gayout overcome obstacles and pass my exam and earn my RN degree. I worked very hard and with much effort and coaching, I was able to overcome and be successful.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Becoming More – what should we know?
I am a pediatric registered nurse. I am an author, also mentor, philanthropist and a nursing professor. I am known for mentoring children and adults, I am well known as a self-help author. I would say I am most proud to be in a mentor helping others and also a self-help author. It is my pleasure to help others on their journeys in expanding and empowering their horizons.
What do you love about our city and what do you dislike?
I like west palm beach because it’s a little slow-paced, I have an old soul. I don’t like busy traffic and I believe there is a lane for everyone here. I believe you can make a positive contribution in the lives of others in west palm beach. I also believe we as mentors, and entrepreneurs and authors support each other well in our city. I like least is the availability of resources for young adults. I believe there could certainly be more opportunities for support and mentorship.
