Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley, Nate and Blake Broders.
Ashley, Nate and Blake, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
About six years ago, we took a leap of faith, left our home in Washington State and moved to Florida. We took about a year off to enjoy the sunshine state before starting a new business adventure as a husband and wife team in the transportation and logistics industry. Its been fun and challenging along the way but most importantly, it has allowed us the freedom to grow together as a family and adventure around the U.S. and also some very tropical places around the world. A couple of years ago, we started to video our different trips and adventures, since then it has evolved into a YouTube channel, Adventure Encounters, which we are starting to grow. It is a lot of fun documenting our journey, as well as meeting other adventurers around the globe. Connecting through social media platforms and exchanging travel secrets learned along the way as well as best practices.
Has it been a smooth road?
For the most part, its been a pretty smooth road! As is life, there are always bumps in the road and challenges. It’s not what happens to us, its how we handle what happens to us.
Please tell us about The Adventure Encounters.
The transportation side of our business is very competitive, challenging and always changing. The YouTube side of our business is primarily all about having fun and taking adventures, all the while creating memories! We are known for sharing travel insights and hidden travel ideas, that locals may not have otherwise known of. It’s our goal to shine as much light as possible, to all of the unique and fun places Florida has to offer. We also enjoy sharing our international travel too. The goal is to fill our passports with as many stamps as possible and share our experiences with everyone who finds them interesting. Our hopes are in doing this, we will inspire others to want to explore and travel and enjoy all that life has to offer. We are most proud of the leap of faith we took when leaving our home town and everything and everyone we knew to move to South Florida.
It was intimidating at first leaving our comfort zone to start a new journey, but has truly been the best decision we have ever made. It has been a very empowering experience and continues to yield results we never imagined. We are truly grateful for all of the experiences we’ve had and the amazing people we have met and continue to meet along the way. Florida is filled with people of all backgrounds with similar stories that have brought them to this beautiful place we call home. The biggest thing that sets us apart from some is our willingness to maintain a 24/7 work schedule. Everyday is an opportunity to create the life we desire and is a new day of opportunity, and we do our best to capitalize on every moment.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Our city is the absolute best place in the country for any business. We are a city that opens our arms to all types of people and business ideas. There is truly something for everyone here and I would strongly encourage anyone considering a new business idea to take advantage of what Miami and the surrounding area has to offer.
