Today we’d like to introduce you to Ana Roma.
Ana, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Born and raised in Brazil’s countryside, I have always been surrounded and fascinated by lush nature.
After relocating to the USA and eventually settling in South Florida, I worked for several years exclusively with fresh floral events.
In 2006, I found my true passion and creative talent serving the interior design community with exclusive high-end maintenance free faux botanicals.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No road to victory is without its challenges. In my case, the creative process flows easily and I enjoy being inspired by nature recreating timeless looks of God’s originals.
My biggest challenges came in the area that requires using the other side of the brain, lol to tackle the administrative side of a growing business. So I had to face the music, get out of my comfort zone and learn some important new skills with the guidance of a few kind and talented individuals. Today I am stronger for it.
Please tell us about Ana Roma Floral Design.
My mission is to bring a touch of nature into any interior design space adding elegance and sophistication while being completely maintenance free.
What most sets my products apart is the realist appearance. I’m often asked “how often should I water it?” and that is the best compliment I can receive. I enjoy a great relationship with highly acclaimed Interior Designers in South Florida and strive to stay on the cutting edge of fresh new and custom looks to serve their exclusive clientele.
I use a variety of natural materials such as driftwood, one of a kind carved wood bowls, river rocks and preserved lush green moss and of course, the highest quality assortment of succulents and Orchids. I also have available a large selection of faux trees and planters and will do installation of fresh plants upon request.
How do you, personally, define success? What’s your criteria, the markers you’re looking out for, etc?
To me, success is living out my God-given calling. In business, I have been blessed with unique creativity and abilities to do what I do, and I absolutely love it. I strive to continue to grow and learn, but I feel most successful when clients are satisfied and we finish the project with the start of a friendship.
