Today we’d like to introduce you to Aman Lexidor.
Aman, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Photography really saved my life. It build my self-confidence, enhanced my strengths and reduced my weaknesses. I never knew photography had such a major impact on me, but it did. It also taught me to be humble and to stay patient. When I lost my father, it was very devastating. I ve began to lose a lot of passion for things I used to love. But the prayer of God has strengthen me. So I continue to keep the faith living in solitude. 😌
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Nothing is really a smooth road. I had quit my job for healing; until my head was together. Taking those times apart I started to know my purpose in life. Going through those struggles taught me a lot about myself which I am always learning each and every day.
Alright – so let’s talk business. What else should we know about your work?
I am a professional photographer and makeup artist. Being an entrepreneur has its moment when you want to give up and try again without anyone telling you what to do. But I’ve been in business for almost ten years plus. Knowing they are cruel people out there. My company is based on respect. I learn to treat people how you want to be treated. I think that’s what sets me apart from everybody else.
What were you like growing up?
Very quiet, down to earth, observant. Some days I can be very goofy and loving. But I love to work. Growing up, I was bullied as a kid. I’ve been jumped, molested, harassed. Picked on and the story goes on. As a kid, I faced my childhood alone, not seeking help, not talking about my problems to my friends and parents. My family was all about working hard and staying out of trouble, so l kept my personal life and troubles private. “I’ve pretty much had to deal with the real world on my own using common sense.
When the world was very dark, I found a reason to smile again because on my birthday, My dad bought me an old fashion Polaroid camera, “I swear this was the best gift I’ve ever received” it really turned my life around.
