Today we’d like to introduce you to Allison Santini.
Allison, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Born and raised a New Yorker, I moved to Miami a little over 3 years ago as a SoulCycle Instructor eager to open a new market in South Florida. Teaching full-time has always been incredibly rewarding, but after a while, it forced me to find ways to take care of myself in order to stay healthy, energized, and inspired. About two years ago, I began to go to acupuncture regularly and noticed the profound effects it had on my body’s healing and overall energy. This sort of kicked off my journey of self-development and my passion for holistic health & healing.
As I got to know my body better, I began to explore my mind, as well. I found that as I got to know myself better on all fronts, I could handle life with more joy & handle people with more patience. Almost one year ago, I decided to enroll in the Integrative Institute of Nutrition (IIN) in order to become a certified Holistic Health Coach. Working with my clients is my way of sharing my knowledge & perspective in order to help people become a better version of themselves.
In the process of me learning the value of implementing various methods of self-care into my daily routine, I fell in love with using essential oils to keep my body & mind feeling balanced. I had the idea of coming out with a line of essential oil blends that would help people experience this same inner equilibrium. Luckily, my dear friend, and now business partner, Monica Redondo, of ‘Wholistic Oils’ was open to helping me bring my vision to life.
The #SantiniStrong x Wholistic Oils Balance Kit consists of three oils: LIT, CHILL and the LOVE OIL. LIT is meant to awaken, CHILL is meant to calm, and the LOVE OIL is an overall wellness blend. All 3 blends are a natural way to nurture and protect the nervous system as we carry out our daily activities (they are also sold individually on the site). This essential oil blend kit is just the first of many products I have planned for #SantiniStrong Wellness. Stay tuned!
Has it been a smooth road?
If the road was perfectly smooth, I believe life would be super boring. I have come to embrace challenges that are put in my path because I know that they are there for a reason and always lead to some type of growth & learning. As far as starting up #SantiniStrong Wellness, the main challenge was really just making sure I gave myself enough time to stay organized & timely with content for the shop on my website, and being willing to learn. A LOT.
I ship the kits out myself, so I had to get familiar with postage and behind the scenes work as far as orders are concerned. Shoutout to my website team over at Prattis for helping me with all the technological aspects! Starting anything unfamiliar is always kind of intimidating, but breaking it up one thing at a time and not being afraid to mess up has definitely helped me so far. All we can really do is our best!
So, as you know, we’re impressed with #SantiniStrong Wellness – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
As I previously mentioned, #SantiniStrong Wellness is relatively new. The Balance Kit is just the first of many holistic health & healing products I plan to have in my online shop. One thing that sets me apart from others is that I do many different things.
I am a full-time SoulCycle Instructor, part-time IIN Health Coach, and, now, have my wellness shop up. I never really believed in being labeled as one thing- I think as humans it’s natural to have many different talents & passions. Part of me committing to living life to the fullest is giving myself permission to pursue all of them. I trust that life will guide me to knowing when the time is right for each.
Being multi-faceted in this way helps me to understand and connect with a variety of people. Overall, I hope to be known for helping people live out their full potential in this lifetime- starting with feeling their best from the inside-out.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love the weather in Miami! Coming from New York, I can definitely appreciate all the sunshine, especially during the winter. What do I like least? The traffic. And use your blinkers, people!
