So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My story begins with a solid family foundation pushing me to do and be better. My mother and grandmother paved the way for me. My grandmother faced many obstacles in life: early motherhood, lack of a full education, and not being able to pursue her dreams. Even with those obstacles, she learned how to become a great mother and grandmother. My mother didn’t become a parent at an early age, and she did graduate high school. However, on the way to pursing her dream of working with children in the hospital, she quit medical school when it got tough. She and my grandmother always encourage me by telling me to go further than they did and to keep pushing until my dreams manifest! I live by that motto today.
I’ve always had a passion for fashion in the beauty industry. I started at the age of ten, drawing in sketchbooks with built-in stencils designing outfits for paper dolls. When I finally became old enough to wear makeup, a different flame sparked inside of me. Instead of spending my time watching tv and playing games, I would use my spare time practicing on myself how to create the different looks I would see on social media and in magazines. I slowly started to develop my own personal makeup tricks that worked best for me and stood out. Whenever I was out in public, people would always ask me who did my makeup whether it was my eyelashes, eyebrows, or full face. When they learned I did it, they were always shocked that I was self-taught and it was “so perfect!” As a young adult, I watch my parents do everything they can to provide for three kids physically, emotionally, and mentally while working a 9-5 job. This made me want to work for myself and not someone else. I wanted a business of my own! I wasn’t quite sure what kind of business to start during my first couple of semesters in college. Then finally, one day it clicked! “Why don’t use what I’m doing as a free hobby and turn it into a money-making business?” From that day on my business was born!
Has it been a smooth road?
In the beginning, the road was very rough! I didn’t have much knowledge on how to start and run a business so I used whatever information I could gather from Google. It took years to finally connect to mentors that would help me grow as a businesswoman. Even after learning more about running a business, I still juggled being a full-time college student and working a full-time job. Money was my number one problem! After taking care of personal and educational bills, I never had money to invest in my business. Against all odds, I was determined to make Lashfule successful! Waking up every morning to go to school, work long hours, and stay up late at night to continue to build my vision is so worth it! I pray daily for my dream to manifest more and more, and I have so many people that support and invest in making it happen.

I’m most proud of the positive feedback my business receives from our satisfied customers. The company Lashfule specializes in facial beauty! We offer safe, natural products to enhance the customer’s look. We have a wide range of services: vendor services (lashes, tools for personal installation, skincare products), lash installation, and skin care service. Currently, we are especially known for the exceptional quality of our lash brand. Lashfule lashes are 100% mink fur, hypoallergenic to sensitive eyes and possess a thick band that hugs the eyelid for more comfortable installation. I intend to expand my business in the future and use it as a tool for women empowerment. Our motto is: Specializing in All Beauty! Lashfule doesn’t discriminate. Our goal is to make ALL women feel beautiful, no matter who they are! Growing up, I suffered from sensitive skin. Anything I used on my face incited a negative reaction like super dry spots or swelling! When I learned about the different natural products that are beneficial to my body, I created my own personal products. Since then, my skin has been happier! I want all Lashfule customers to experience the same thing: HAPPY SKIN!
What role has luck had in your life and business?
I was taught not to believe in luck. So, my personal belief is that God has a purpose for everything that happens. Every good and bad thing has played an important role in my life and business, because it led me to where I am right now.
