Today we’d like to introduce you to Ali Mandsaurwala.
Ali, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I am the Franchise Owner/President of Accessible Home Health Care of Aventura based in North Miami Beach, Florida. I was born in Mumbai, India and moved to Miami Beach at the age of three with my parents where I grew up working in the family business of retail groceries. My exposure to the family business created an entrepreneurial spirit that drives me to this day. After completing medical school at the age of 24 and working with a cardiology group in Miami, my love for business flourished when I made the conscious decision to move away from medicine and become a Franchisee with Accessible Home Health Care at the age of 30. Currently, my team and I care for 110 lives and supervise over 150 caregivers, nurses and therapists. In addition to my success in the home health field, I have a substantial real estate portfolio and successful CrossFit box with over 240 members. In addition to contributing to many charitable organizations that include the Alzheimer’s Association and Best Buddies International, I am a member of EO: Entrepreneurs Organization, BNI Biscayne Connection, a proud board member with Nicklaus Children’s Young Ambassadors and contribute to the Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired. My greatest achievement and love is my four-year-old daughter Naaya, and wife Danielle.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
In the beginning, when I was growing the company and we had no clients, cash flow was an issue, and I was the lone employer doing everything from A-Z.

We provide care and specialize in a number of areas ranging from companion care to assist with activities of daily living; bathing, dressing, transferring, meal prep, transportation, personal hygiene, toileting, light housekeeping, and medication reminders to those that need respite care, have spinal cord injuries, Alzheimer’s Disease, Lewy Body dementia, as well as Parkinson’s disease and therapies such as physical, occupational, and speech, respiratory, as well as care with Registered Nurses.
We believe in educating our clients about the world of home health care and providing resources to help them navigate this journey. We make suggestions and they make the decisions. During this process, we believe it is important to meet with the client and/or the family. This helps us better understand a client’s needs, family and/or caregiver relationships and dynamic, living situation, and more. We take great pride in finding the right caregiver candidate as there is a multitude of variables to consider when making the connection. Additionally, we feel it is healthiest to set up an interview between a caregiver candidate and a family member (s). This serves as a conversation and means of getting to know one and other before beginning care.
We’re most proud of our willingness to go above and beyond. Our team is available 24/7. We do not forward our phone lines to a third party. One of our Department Heads is on call during nights and weekends. We are known for doing what it takes to get things right.
What were you like growing up?
When I was younger I was “the nice guy.” I was shy and an introvert. As I grew up and certainly in adulthood, I am still a nice guy, loyal (sometimes to a fault), but with a bigger personality — bold, sometimes brash (with the best of intentions), but understanding and flexible.
