Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexandra Fazio.
Alexandra, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I am 29 years old and the proud owner of Hair Circus in Fort Lauderdale, FL. I have been doing hair for about six years and have been a salon owner for almost three years. I have grown my entire business on Instagram in which is still our main platform.
I am passionate about color, transforming clients into the best version of themselves and being behind the chair. I am constantly growing as a stylist and person and am currently growing my team larger!
Attending hair shows & continuing my education is very important to me, I am so thankful to be in this industry and continue to create connections with other artists such as myself.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has been an emotional rollercoaster since the beginning of my career as a hairstylist. I feel a normal struggle is feeling good enough or learning how to deal with difficult clients. Confidence comes with time and dedication. I feel the biggest challenge has been becoming a salon owner, but the best decision of my life. Things don’t always happen the way you plan but they always work out how they are supposed to, and I wouldn’t change a thing. I am stronger now than I have ever been and have an amazing team who have become family.
Hair circus – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Hair circus is a boutique salon that specializes in Color, extensions & extreme transformations. I am proud that we are unique, eccentric and aren’t your typical salon setting. We are a team of hair enthusiasts who show our love by performing acts of service & expertise while lending an ear to listen and a shoulder to lean on. Most importantly, we are a family of Artists who express themselves with creating a vision that can be life-changing.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success to me is waking up excited to go to work every day, a loving home, traveling to the places on my bucket list, genuine friends, a healthy family and happiness and achieving anything I put my mind to. Believing in yourself is success in itself.
