Alex started out as a mechanic in 1989. In 2004, he opened his own auto shop in the Windy City of Chicago. For the next 12 years, Alex and his mechanics helped thousands of customers within the Garfield Park neighborhood. After spending 25 years living with the snow up to 9 months out of the year, it was time for a change. Alex closed his business in Chicago to move down to sunny Florida to open up Mazel Auto Repair.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Before opening up Mazel Auto Repair, finding a location was very difficult. It took numerous trips from Chicago to finally settle on my current location: 802 N Dixie Hwy in Boca Raton. Once a lease was signed, the 22-hour journey had to be made. With all the tools and equipment loaded up, Alex was off. Finally, after setting up shop, there were many struggles.
As a new business, Alex stood out by offering discounted services, monthly specials, and even walking around handing out flyers. It took time, but as customers started coming in, they were immediately hooked on the quality and service Mazel Auto Repair provides. With Alex understanding what it’s like to struggle, he appreciates every customer, and really wants to connect and build a relationship with them. Slowly but surely, Alex is building a name for himself around the Boca Community.

A lot of the experience Alex has is from owning his own repair shop in Chicago. There, he dealt with thousands of customers with vehicles ranging from getting an oil change to completely installing a brand new engine. With the many years and thousands of cars Alex has worked on, he has the experience and expertise to repair and maintain any vehicle.
My family has been my biggest support group, they supported me and rooted for me from the start. My wife had to stay in Chicago with our youngest son while I had to get the business going. All throughout, she never lost sight for the future.
My two sons are the ones who help with all the online /social media marketing as well as occasionally helping around the shop. Without them, Mazel Auto Repair would not be near what it is today.
