Meet Alan Belloso of Malan in Midtown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alan Belloso.

Alan, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started in Maracaibo, Venezuela, studying photography, and graduating from University as a Graphic Designer. I also painted murals and some graffiti in my spare time. I moved to some local art shows and live painting in different venues. I have also participated in national art saloons in Venezuela, like Jovenes Artistas in el MACZUL, and la FIAAM. At the moment I settling in a new place, starting over, working on graphic arts and graphic design.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nope, struggles like all artists in any art. Finding yourself. Understanding yourself, your free spirit, the need to express through a media that is not a spoken language. similar people. Moving to another country and starting again.

Please tell us about your work.
I specialize in illustrations, visual art and graphic arts. Most of my art is vintage comic style and ignorant style. there is some difference in what I paint on canvas and what I design as an illustration for print or clothing. I also do Character Design for branding. It makes me proud when people like your work when people smile or laugh when they see my job. My work is very clean and if you look at it closely it may look as made in a printer.

Working on physical media can separate you from the rest. The energy and mood you have while working will also be embodied in the work.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
I have problems remembering my childhood, but I can say it would be being happy.
