Emily has been in the beauty industry since 2010. After working as a stylist in some of the best salons in Manhattan, Emily decided to move to Miami to pursue a career with Luxury Brand Partners. She worked directly with the Oribe brand, selling and educating salon owners on the Oribe products.
A year later, Emily decided to own Elle Air Beauty Bar, a place where women could pop in for an affordable, long-lasting blowout, and makeup applications in a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere.
Elle Air Beauty Bar has expanded its menu as well as locations, welcoming their second Elle Air Beauty Bar at the Mondrian hotel in South Beach! Elle Air Beauty Bar now offers women’s and men’s haircuts, color services, makeup applications, lash extensions, microbladding, keratin, hair extensions, so much more… it is truly a one stop beauty shop. Elle Air Beauty Bar is here to make you feel beautiful inside and out, they strive themselves on treating their clients like family and they can not wait to meet you!
Has it been a smooth road?
Owning a salon will never fully be smooth. It has its ups and downs, but the UPS outweigh the downs for sure! My advice for young women who are starting their journey would be to trust the process and don’t let the small stuff set you back. Trust in yourself and know that you are a BOSS! Rome wasn’t built overnight and either will your business, day by day it will grow to be exactly what you always dreamt of!
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Elle Air Beauty Bar – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I believe that a salon owner should be able to perform everything that their staff is able to do. I specialize in color and cuts, I learned from some of the best in New York, such as Oscar Blandi himself. I am most proud of the fact that Elle Air has been able to serve our community. We love supporting other local businesses and making women look at feeling beautiful. We partnered up with Fit 305 as well as Nike to perform complimentary braids at local fitness events. We also work closely with an amazing organization called The Kristi House. The Kristi house is a safe place for teenage women who have been sexually and physically abused. We donated hair products as well as glammed up the girl’s hair and makeup. We offer them complimentary services at our salon whenever they want to come by! My biggest accomplishment was opening my second location inside the Mondrian Hotel. We love working with Menin Hospitality and we hope to keep growing together with them!
Who have you been inspired by?
My mother and my oma. They taught me to work hard but always be true to myself. They have been my biggest fans since I could remember because of them I knew I could make all my dreams come true. My mom and my oma lost my aunt when she was 26 years old, however, that never broke them. They are the two strongest people I know and because of them, I have the strength I have today.
