Today we’d like to introduce you to Zionna Walker.
Hi Zionna, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I didn’t just start The Bawdy Bakery… I created it out of a need.
I had my own experiences in the beauty industry where I didn’t feel seen, especially as someone navigating things like PCOS and just existing in a body that isn’t always centered in traditional beauty spaces. The services felt rushed, impersonal, and honestly a little uncomfortable in more ways than one. And I remember thinking… there has to be a better way to do this.
So I became that better way.
What started as me wanting to learn more about skincare and waxing turned into something much deeper. I realized this wasn’t just about hair removal or facials, it was about creating a space where people feel safe, cared for, and understood. A space where you’re not judged, you’re educated. Where your body isn’t something to fix, it’s something to honor.
That’s how The Bawdy Bakery was born.
I wanted it to feel warm, indulgent, almost like a treat… but still rooted in real results and real knowledge. Over time, it’s grown into more than just a waxing studio. It’s become a community for people who are learning to love their bodies out loud, take up space, and show up for themselves consistently.
And I’m still building it with that same intention every single day.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but I think that’s what shaped me the most.
There were times I felt overwhelmed, times where my books were empty, and moments where I questioned if I was doing enough or doing things the “right” way. Building a business, especially one that’s rooted in purpose and not just profit, comes with a lot of trial, error, and learning in real time.
I’ve had to grow not just as an esthetician, but as a person… learning discipline, consistency, and how to show up even when things feel uncertain.
But every challenge pushed me to refine my vision.
It forced me to get clear on who I serve, how I want people to feel, and what kind of experience I’m really creating. So while it hasn’t been smooth, it’s been intentional. Every setback helped me build something that’s more aligned, more impactful, and more real.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
At the core, I specialize in Brazilian waxing, sugaring, and corrective-style skincare, including Vagacials especially for clients dealing with concerns like hyperpigmentation, ingrowns, and hormonal-related skin challenges. But what I’m really known for is the experience I create around those services.
My clients aren’t just coming in for a wax or a facial… they’re coming in for a reset.
What sets me apart is the level of care and education I provide. I don’t believe in rushed appointments or one-size-fits-all routines. Every client is treated like an individual, and I take the time to understand their skin, their habits, and their goals so we can build something sustainable together.
I’ve also been very intentional about creating a space that feels safe and affirming, especially for people who haven’t always felt seen in traditional beauty spaces. Whether it’s your first wax or your hundredth, I want you to feel comfortable, informed, and confident in your body.
Brand-wise, what I’m most proud of is that The Bawdy Bakery has grown into more than just a service provider… it’s becoming a lifestyle. It’s indulgent, it’s empowering… and yes, it’s a little sweet too. From sugaring services to Vagacials, everything I offer is designed to leave you feeling soft, cared for, and confident—like your body just got the VIP dessert treatment.
I want people to know that when they come to The Bawdy Bakery, they’re not just booking an appointment… they’re investing in a relationship with their body, their confidence, and their consistency.
How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
If you’re local, the best way is to book an appointment and experience The Bawdy Bakery firsthand. I offer Brazilian waxing, sugaring, and Vagacials, all designed to give you real results while making you feel comfortable, confident, and cared for.
For brands and collaborators, I’m always open to partnerships that align with my values—especially in beauty, wellness, and self-care. I love creating intentional experiences, whether that’s content, events, or something more immersive.
I’m also very passionate about community, so I’m always open to collaborations that allow me to pour back into the spaces that shaped me. That can look like sponsoring events, partnering on local initiatives, or even speaking to youth about entrepreneurship, hygiene, and building confidence from the inside out. Expanding my impact is really important to me, and I’m always looking for ways to grow beyond just the treatment room.
If you’d like to collaborate, support, or bring me into something you’re creating, the best way to reach me is through my social media platforms.
And if you simply want to support the brand, engaging with my content, sharing my work, and referring people to my services truly goes a long way. The Bawdy Bakery has grown through community, and every connection helps me continue to build something meaningful.
At the end of the day, however you come in… you’re welcome here.
