Hi Waleska, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’m Waleska Pantoja, a Venezuelan who has spent over nine years reinventing herself. I transitioned from being a journalist to founding my first company, MEND Miami. This journey has been full of challenges, but it has been incredibly rewarding, and I’m passionate about how far I’ve come and the future ahead.
MEND Miami started about a year after I moved to Miami in 2020. At first, I was working in the jewelry industry, but I soon expanded into the beauty sector, where I discovered a real passion for helping businesses build their brands and connect with their audiences online.
My breakthrough came when I started working with All In Beauty Med Spa, one of my biggest clients. That experience solidified my confidence in the value MEND Miami could bring to the beauty and aesthetics industry. Since then, I’ve been fortunate to collaborate with several small businesses in the beauty and wellness space, helping them grow through personalized social media strategies and creative content.
What I love most about MEND Miami is the ability to adapt to each client’s unique needs and make a real difference in their success. It’s been an incredible journey so far, and I’m excited to keep growing alongside my clients in this dynamic field.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. In 2015, I made the difficult decision to leave my dream of becoming a sports journalist in Venezuela to pursue another dream—studying in Norway, learning new languages, and creating a better future for myself.
Leaving my family behind nine years ago was one of the hardest sacrifices I’ve ever made, and it’s something I still carry with me every day. Being far from them has been challenging, but it has also given me incredible strength and determination to make my dreams and goals even bigger.
Every step of this journey, from navigating a new country and culture to building two businesses from the ground up, has its challenges. But those struggles have shaped who I am today and made every milestone even more meaningful.

The name of my business is MEND Miami, a social media management company that specializes in helping small businesses, particularly in the beauty and aesthetics industries, grow their online presence.
At MEND Miami, we focus on creating customized social media strategies that reflect each client’s unique identity and goals. From content creation to branding, our approach is hands-on and tailored, ensuring every post, story, and campaign resonates with their target audience.
Additionally, MEND Miami started as a small social media management agency, and as our clients have grown, we’ve had the opportunity to expand into event production, event planning, shows, content creation, and more. This growth has allowed us to offer a broader range of services and further support the success of our clients.
What sets us apart is our commitment to building genuine connections with our clients and their customers. We pride ourselves on understanding the heart of each brand we work with, delivering not just creative content, but impactful results.
MEND Miami has also opened the door for me to pursue another dream. In December 2024, I launched Margo Jewels Co, a jewelry company specializing in 10k and 14k gold. Opening our first store in Houston, Texas, has been an exciting milestone, allowing me to explore a new passion for the luxury jewelry industry. This journey has inspired me to take the next step and begin training at the Gemological Institute of America in 2025 to become a professional jeweler.
I’m most proud of how both businesses reflect my drive to bring creativity, excellence, and personal connection into everything I do. I want readers to know that MEND Miami is here to make social media simpler and more effective, while Margo Jewels Co brings timeless elegance and quality to the world of jewelry.
