Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabriel Russo & Anthony Valenzuela.
Hi Gabriel Russo & Anthony Valenzuela, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
The idea of The Mindset Podcast was born over a meal at the one and only, Chipotle! We have always been passionate about igniting conversations related to success, work ethic, and most importantly, an optimistic MINDSET. We believed that starting their own podcast from scratch would be the best way to reach an audience of like-minded, driven individuals. Anthony and I met while playing for our high school basketball team. That’s where it all started. We learned the importance being consistent and working towards a common goal. Soon after high school, we went our separate ways and started our own side hustles and were lucky enough to be mentored by many successful entrepreneurs. Fast forward 2 years after graduating, Anthony and I reconnected at a networking event. We quickly realized we had some of the same interests and more than anything, a drive to be successful. After that event we stayed connected and started hanging out a lot. Anthony came to me one day and said we have to do something together but we weren’t sure what. After some weeks of thinking and long conversations I had the idea of starting a podcast. – Gabriel
Even though we had no previous experience with podcasting, I felt like it was a great idea because there weren’t a lot of people our age having the types of conversations we were having. We were filling a gap. Our relationship is very unique. We are super close friends, co-hosts, and basically brothers but what makes our partnership so great is that Gabe’s strengths are my weaknesses and vice versa. All Gabe and I want to do is share the powerful knowledge we’ve learned and continue to learn through our episodes. We have a strong brand and loyal listeners and we want to share the wealth. Today, the Mindset Podcast has not only influenced Gabe and I, but young people across the country by introducing them to the importance of a successful and powerful mindset. Our episodes feature guests such as CEO’s, entrepreneurs, and politicians. Together with our guests, we have powerful discussions about aspirations, leadership, mindset, and so much more. All while proactively motivating men and women to take themselves and their mindsets to the next level! – Anthony
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like anything in life, it wasn’t all smooth sailing. We had no experience with podcasts so there was definitely a learning curve but for the most part we caught on pretty quick. I wouldn’t call it a challenge but we are definitely always improve our own craft and make out brand stand out in this wide industry of podcasting.
As you know, we’re big fans of your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?

Anthony Valenzuela: I graduated from the Honors College at Miami Dade College Kendall Campus and served as the Kendall Campus Student Government President. I am majoring in Business Administration, and I am currently attending the University of Florida’s Warrington College of Business School. I excelled academically at MDC, earning a 3.94 GPA and maintaining my status on the Dean’s list every semester. Besides being President, I was also an active member of Phi Beta Lambda and Phi Theta Kappa. My passions include giving back to this community by attending food and mask distributions during the COVID-19 pandemic and feeding the homeless. When I am not working on the Mindset Podcast or advocating for students, I work as a real estate agent in Miami, Florida under my family company, The Valenzuela Group. I plan to follow in the family business and become a real estate broker and seek political office in the future. I aspire to make a difference in my community by building affordable housing opportunities.
Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
