Today we’d like to introduce you to Carolina Vengoechea.

Hi Carolina, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was born in Barranquilla, Colombia. I faced the challenges of immigrating to a new country with my family at the age of 15. Raised with a strong immigrant mentality, I believed that through hard work and perseverance, any goal could be achieved. As I adjusted to a new language and social circle, I cultivated a sense of independence, resourcefulness, and courage. After high school, I pursuit an education in Fashion Design, but that was quickly interrupted. I had to work and explored various opportunities in retail, corporate settings, and even assembling motherboards for PC in the early 90s, but I needed more. I then enrolled in continuing studies classes in journalism and broadcasting at UM, immersed myself in the world of radio, television, and film, and eventually relocated to New York and Los Angeles in pursuit of an acting career that spanned over a decade. However, it was the birth of my child that marked a turning point in my life. Motherhood and entrepreneurship, have been two unexpected and transformative, challenging journeys. As a mother, I discovered the true essence of adaptability and the power of embracing life’s ever-changing circumstances. I finished my degree in Fashion Design, but I knew I wanted to have the flexibility to be there for my daughter, at every school activity, every show, and so on. I knew working in the beauty industry with my family would allow me to be there for her. I could write a book with the rest, but that’s how I got to Beaubar.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Beaubar Concierge Salon?
Beaubar Concierge Salon is a mobile hair salon that offers a convenient, time-saving, and personalized solution for busy professionals and parents. We offer hair services that allow our clients to maintain their appearance and confidence without sacrificing precious time from their work or personal lives. I am a cosmetologist, with more than 15 years of experience specializing in hair color corrections and curated haircutting for all hair types.

Beaubar is easy to book online and travels to the customer’s location, so they don’t have to rush to an appointment, deal with traffic or wait at a salon for their turn. We deliver high-quality services, with expertise in the latest trends and techniques. Beaubar offers a luxurious home service with a comfortable and private environment, which can be especially important for busy parents and professionals.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?

There’s nothing smooth about entrepreneurship. It’s like the universe is constantly testing me to see if this is really what I want. It is a constant push, stop, breathe, and push again. I compare entrepreneurship to a long pregnancy with occasional labor pains, but no one knows the due date, you just have to endure if you really want to see that baby

Can you share something surprising about yourself?

I’m passionate about empowering women to be confident, to be independent, and to pursue their dreams. I’m also working on a platform that will be available for professionals in the beauty and self-care workforce offering mobile services. They will be able to grow their own business the way I’ve been doing it myself.
