Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Live Love Picnic started from a love to create beautiful and memorable events for holidays and special occasions with my family, during the pandemic there were very limited activities, and not a lot of places allowed for bigger groups to gather and enjoy each other’s company so that’s where the idea of luxury picnics came from. I wanted to give people that sense of normality that we didn’t have at that moment where you could gather at a park, beach, or your backyard with your closest friends or loved ones and just enjoy a nice setup and relax and have fun and indulge in each other’s company.
Live Love Picnic started on April 15th, 2021, and didn’t open up for booking until May 1st. Well, it took off and completely grew like I didn’t imagine it would. The feedback, the love, and the support it gained in such a short time was something I didn’t imagine. Within only 3 months of its opening, we had already landed a cover from TCPALM which is the biggest local newspaper company in our area, and gained hundreds of followers in less than a year. Live Love Picnic has grown a lot and completely changed the way we celebrate life’s most important moments.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Growing the business has had a lot of struggles especially when you have no clue on how to run your own business. I want to say the biggest one and the one that took me the longest to figure out was the work/life balance.
I was so focused on growing the business that I completely forgot I had a home, husband, and family I also needed to pay attention to. Social media consumed me and it was hard being present and, in the moment, when all I wanted to do was figure out how to grow the page and attract more customers.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Live Love Picnic specializes in custom-curated events for any occasion, petite weddings, birthdays, bridal showers you name it. We are well known for our luxury events but wedding proposals are also a huge hit.
I think the one thing I am most proud of since starting this business is the growth it has had. I started with doing two-four people picnics and now I mainly book larger events anywhere from 15-40, but depending on the type of setup I will go as far as 120. I think what sets Live Love Picnic apart from others is its unique setups, elegance, and attention to detail.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memories are my summers in Mexico, playing late at night with my neighborhood friends and spending every Sunday out in the countryside making mud pies with my cousins.
