Today we’d like to introduce you to Tavaris Moore.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Hello, my name is Tavaris Moore aka Traw on Instagram I’m 24 years old. I’ve been dancing most of my life typical kid at family functions winning the dance contest all the time. I watched Chris Brown, Omarion, and Usher entertainers like them inspired me a lot.
I grew up having a YouTube page posting videos in my living room of me dancing and all of my high school performances that received a lot of love from people who mostly I didn’t know.
After graduating, I danced in a company for 4 years competing in the world of dance and other various competitions that was a big part of my life. Fast forward to focusing on myself, I’ve choreographed for love & hip-hop Miami and done shows & performances I’ll take with me for the rest of my time on this earth.
Aside from dancing, I acted in music videos & tv shows and been in rooms with people I’ve only dreamed of being around. I thank god and my parents for instilling this type of dedication and motivation in me and I’m ready for what’s to come next
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Starting out things weren’t easy especially just cleaning myself up. Realized what my style was and fine-tuned it to the best of my ability.
When I first decided to take 2-3 classes a week and throw myself into the field I’ll definitely catch choreography was never the issue. Executing to the best ability and telling the story through my moves was always my main focus. Knowing what I needed to work from feedback and just coming out help me along the way.
As far castings go, I just always would be reliable and on time to sets no matter the project. They look at things like and just having etiquette, in general, is key in this industry. Looking back, I’ve come along way and it’s not over yet.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a professional dancer out of west palm beach. Taught classes of my own before Covid came around. That challenged me a lot making s new routine each week for classes so my students would like what I brought to the table.
Choreographing for love & hip-hop was a blessing within itself having my own choreography on national TV and dancing with my friends from my city they wanted mainly female dancers but I sent them a video of what I came up with my best friend and immediately wanted us. I’ve produced 5 concept visuals creatively directed by my choreography wardrobe and had dope dancers come out and make my visions come to life.
I like to push out videos fast so they don’t get prolonged and then it might not happen at all so when you have an idea act on it at that moment. What sets me apart from others I won’t let anything stop me from what I want especially when I know I can reach the goal I’m after.
I’ve put in a lot of work that others won’t but I know my time put in will pay off in the long run god didn’t me this talent for no reason.
What would you say has been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Sometimes you have to move in silence. Don’t let what others say get into your head.
Even when you have your down moments pick yourself back up it’s normal yes but you’ll push through. You have to watch the company you keep for sure not everyone’s intentions are pure that alone will let you know who’s really for you and who you need to distance yourself from immediately.
Always give out positive energy and stay in good graces with those you encounter always.
