Hi JoJo, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I always say my journey started long before I ever touched a client’s hair. From a very young age, I felt deeply connected to beauty , not just how it looks, but how it makes a woman feel.
My journey into hairstyling began as a childhood dream, one that never left me.
With determination, I worked multiple jobs to pursue beauty school, guided by a vision that felt bigger than me. In my early career, I had the privilege of assisting some of the most sought-after hairstylists in the industry, where I refined my technique, discipline, and artistic eye.
What followed was a journey of growth, resilience, and transformation. Every experience shaped not only my skill, but the way I approach beauty today, with intention, precision, and an unwavering attention to detail.
At Jojo Atelier, my work is a reflection of that journey. Where natural, effortless beauty meets refined artistry.
But over time, I felt a calling to create something more personal, a space where beauty felt intentional, elevated, and deeply connected to self-care.
That’s when I decided to step into my own path and create Jojo Atelier de Beauté a boutique experience where beauty is created with intention, detail, and care.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My path required a lot of sacrifice in the beginning. I worked long hours and often balanced multiple jobs just to be able to put myself through beauty school.
As I stepped into the industry and assisting some of the most respected artists was both inspiring and demanding. I had to learn how to stay confident while still being a student. It taught me humility, observation, and the importance of mastering the details.
It was a demanding season, but it instilled in me a level of discipline and intention that still defines how I show up today both as an artist and as a business owner.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My work is centered around hair color and extensions, with a focus on creating results that feel effortlessly natural and refined.
I take pride in designing color that looks as if it was always meant to be there, soft, dimensional, and almost as if the client was born with it.
What truly sets my work apart is my attention to detail. Every tone, placement, and blend is intentional, allowing the final result to feel seamless, elevated, and uniquely personal to each client.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
In the next five years, I see my business expanding in a very intentional way, growing, but never losing its intimacy a place where the genuine care and comfort are always present.
It’s important to me that as Jojo Atelier evolves, it continues to feel personal, refined, and deeply client-focused.
I also see myself expanding the level of care I offer beyond the chair , through education, rituals, and thoughtfully developed products that support beautiful, healthy hair in a more holistic way.
