Today we’d like to introduce you to Isabella Vaquero.
Hi Isabella, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Before I became a mom, I never thought about what it would be like. The idea of my life changing or being responsible for another human being freaked me out. Looking back at it now that was just my own fears trying to hold me back from the greatest blessing I’ve ever received.
I didn’t know what kind of mom I would be, but once I had our son it’s as if a switch flipped inside of me. I wanted to go above and beyond for my child in every way I possibly could.
When you become a mom, you truly feel like you have no idea what you’re doing and the road can feel very lonely.
Something that I always promised myself was to try as hard as possible, not to lose myself in motherhood, and to show the true beauty of this promotion. No it’s not easy. It’s not a walk in the park, but it is and will be the most beautiful challenge you will ever accomplish.
I got inspired watching so many moms on social media share on how they were teaching their children the basics so I knew that as soon as my son turned 18 months old, I wanted to do that as well.
I wanted to create a community and to create a space for new moms, experienced moms, those in the trenches, and those taking it day by day to feel like they weren’t alone and to remind them that it takes a village.
While also providing weekly inspiration to simplify parenting and enrich their child’s learning.
This is how Promoted 2 Mom began.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road has definitely not been smooth and I don’t think it ever really is especially when you are trying to build something as a stay at home mom which in itself is already a full-time job balancing work and home life has been one of the biggest challenges trying to build something meaningful, but also being Present for my child requires constant juggling sacrifice, and a lot of late nights.
Another big challenge is staying motivated when you don’t immediately see results. There are moments when you feel like giving up wondering if what you’re doing is really making a difference on top of that imposter syndrome can sneak in that feeling of questioning whether you’re qualified or good enough to be doing what you’re doing, especially in the world of parenting.
I take my hat off and I have so much respect for mothers. The parents who do it all it takes an incredible amount of strength, self belief and grace to keep going even when the path feels uncertain.
I have a deep respect for the quiet unseen work that goes into both raising children and pursuing a dream at the same time while trying to keep it all together.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
If you were to ask me who I am and what I do, I would tell you that I’m just a wife. I’m just to stay at home mom I’m just a believer of Jesus.
But on a deeper level, I would tell you that all I wanna do through social media through my business is make my family proud.
I’m a girl’s girl or mom’s mom. I love to help and empower other women to see the potential that they have inside of them.
Especially after I became a mom I felt like it was something I had to do. I had to promote because women tend to lose themselves after having a child and I vowed to never do that.
I’m a content creator that promotes motherhood, lifestyle, the beauty and all of it and now I provide learning tools for early childhood development. Something I never saw myself doing, but God had different plans.
I think what sets me apart is that I aim to befriend and to inspire other women other moms, I don’t see competition I see community and if I could just inspire one person or empower a parent out there to have quality time with their little ones while learning then I know I’m getting the job done. If I can motivate one mom to make time for themselves to have self-care and not lose themselves in the whirlwind of motherhood then I know I’m on the right path. If I can help a parent out there feel less alone and see the beauty of this new title and promotion that’ll tell me I’m making the impact I hoped & prayed for.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up, I was outgoing. I had a lot of energy I ran track & field. I was a dancer and stayed actively involved in my church community. I didn’t always know exactly what I wanted to do with my life, but I knew I wanted to make a difference. I’ve always been drawn to helping others and finding purpose in service. Even at a young age, I was always very interested in Business and the idea of creating something out of nothing from the ground up, but making sure that it was helping others.
