Today we’d like to introduce you to Alessandro Coppa.
Hi Alessandro, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started my journey at a young age, driven by a deep curiosity for life and human experience. In my early 20s, I began traveling across different countries — from Tunisia to Egypt, Kenya, Mauritius, and beyond — living and working in diverse environments that shaped not only my culinary skills but also my perspective on life.
Through these experiences, I developed resilience, adaptability, and a deeper understanding of culture, people, and energy. Cooking was never just about food for me — it became a way to connect, to express, and eventually, to heal.
Over time, I evolved from simply working as a chef into creating something more meaningful. This led to the foundation of The Holy Street to Light — a project that integrates food, movement, and conscious living. My work today combines culinary artistry, dance, and transformational coaching, with the intention of helping people reconnect with themselves through experience.
I’ve worked in high-pressure environments, including large-scale events and live show cooking, while also developing more intimate and holistic formats such as private dining, workshops, and retreats. These experiences allowed me to bridge performance with presence — technique with awareness.
Where I am today is the result of years of exploration, challenges, and inner work. I don’t see my path as linear, but as a continuous evolution. My mission now is to share what I’ve learned — not only through what I create, but through the energy and intention behind it.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. My journey has been shaped by constant change, uncertainty, and the need to rebuild myself in different countries and environments.
One of the biggest challenges was learning to adapt—moving across more than 10 countries, working in high-pressure culinary environments, and often having to prove my value from zero, without connections or stability. There were moments of financial pressure, cultural differences, and loneliness that tested my resilience deeply.
Another challenge was internal. For a long time, I struggled with fear—fear of not being enough, of expressing myself fully, and of being misunderstood. Especially as I began developing my own vision around “Food as Medicine” and conscious living, I had to face the discomfort of standing for something different, without external validation.
There were also professional challenges—balancing creativity with business, building something meaningful while still working within traditional systems, and navigating complex processes like immigration while continuing to grow my career.
But each obstacle became a form of training. They pushed me to develop discipline, awareness, and a deeper connection with my purpose. Today, I don’t see challenges as setbacks, but as necessary steps that shaped both my work and who I am becoming.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a chef, performer, and creator, and the founder of The Holy Street to Light — a project that integrates food, movement, and conscious living.
My work goes beyond traditional cooking. I specialize in what I define as “Food as Medicine” — not in a clinical sense, but as an experiential and emotional journey where food becomes a tool for presence, connection, and transformation. Alongside this, I work as a dancer and choreographer, bringing movement into my expression and creating a bridge between the body, creativity, and awareness.
What I am known for is the ability to merge disciplines that are usually kept separate — gastronomy, performance, and personal transformation — into a single, immersive experience. Whether through private dining, show cooking, or workshops, my goal is to create moments that people don’t just consume, but truly feel and remember.
What I am most proud of is my journey. I have lived and worked across multiple countries, adapting to different cultures, environments, and challenges. This path shaped my vision and gave depth to my work. Everything I create today comes from real-life experience, not just technique.
What sets me apart is authenticity. I don’t follow a predefined model — I build from intuition, experience, and a desire to create something meaningful. My work is not only about delivering a service, but about opening a space where people reconnect with themselves through food, movement, and presence.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
I’m deeply inspired by resources that connect creativity, consciousness, and performance.
In books, I resonate with The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle and The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho — both shaped my perspective on presence and purpose.
For podcasts, I enjoy listening to Jay Shetty and Lewis Howes, especially conversations around mindset, growth, and human potential.
On the practical side, I use apps like Canva and CapCut to express creativity through content, and platforms like YouTube as both a learning tool and a space to share my work.
Overall, I’m drawn to anything that helps me integrate art, awareness, and impact — whether through food, movement, or storytelling.
