Today we’d like to introduce you to Juelle Alexandra.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Juelle. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Since I was a little girl, I had a special passion and love for fashion. Growing up, I dreamed of being a fashion designer. I would draw outfits and sew clothes for my Barbie dolls while idolizing America’s Top Model and Project Runway. During high school, I participated in directing fashion shows and learned graphic design skills. After high school, I attained an Associate degree in Graphic Design because I believed these skills would help me in the future. After an Associate degree, I attained my Bachelor degree in Fashion Merchandising & Retail Marketing. During college, I decided that fashion design was too hands-on and decided to pursue a career in fashion styling. Pursuing fashion styling gave me a chance to help others become someone else with the power of clothing. I knew the amount of influence clothing had on an individual and began “Changing Lives One Hanger at a Time.” While getting experience in retail management I balanced building my brand and portfolio. I started my business in 2016, which gave me the motivation to take my styling career to the next level. In Winter 2017, I launched an online boutique to give customers an opportunity to shop a Stylist closet. I believe I got to where I am today because I believed in myself and had a strong support system. I am now an experienced entrepreneur, published fashion stylist, personal shopper and image consultant.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
While your on this journey called life there will be bumps in the road. Nothing in life will be easy but it’s about being persistent about what you want in the end. When I started my business, I did it by myself with the limited information I learned from Business Law class. I didn’t know how to run a business, but I had to do the research to make my vision come true. I also made $2,000 shoe mistakes, but it is all a learning process. The advice I would give other women is to believe in yourself enough that when mistakes happen you continue your journey. Also, build a strong support system that will help you through the highs and lows.

I am a published fashion stylist, personal shopper and image consultant. My work has been published in several magazines and has been seen on celebrities. I specialize in “Changing Lives One Hanger at a Time” by styling my clients in a way that they look in the mirror and see a different person. Styled by Juelle stands by its motto, “Changing Lives One Hanger at a Time.” We understand how clothing can impact an individuals mood, which is why we strive to build self-esteem. I think I am most proud about the progress I’ve made within the years as a brand, I believe that life-changing opportunities are on the way. I think what sets me apart from others is my experience in the retail industry and the passion that shows within my work.
It would be great to hear about any apps, books, podcasts or other resources that you’ve used and would recommend to others.
My favorite app right now is Google Calendar, it literally saves my life! When life gets insane, I rely on my calendar to keep me organized. As far as a podcast, I listen to one of these podcasts every day: Joel Osteen, The Potter’s Touch, Girl Boss Radio and Oprah SuperSoul Conversations. Other resources that help me are Women Word’s Daily, Fashionista.com and FashionBombDaily, which gives me the fashion news I need.
