Today we’d like to introduce you to Alasha Wilson.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Born and raised in the Midwest, I am the 2nd oldest of eight siblings. I’m now 24 years old and responsibility has always been apart of me. I always wanted more for us. I moved to South Florida at the age of 18. I’ve always been driven but found myself going through a lot of “rough patches.” I was homeless for about a year and a half when I first moved to South Florida. Despite the few challenges that the situation introduced to me, I still always kept my head up, dignity and stayed focused on my purpose. After going through a break-up, losing my job and apartment in late 2017, I realized that was my last straw. I moved to Jacksonville with my sister and within that short amount of time, I discovered lashing. I never really knew much about lash extensions, let alone thought about being a certified lash tech. I stumbled across an ad for a lash class and decided to take it. I went from watching YouTube videos to ordering lash supplies before I even attended my training. I was in love with this stuff. I grew an addiction to it.
By the time my training date came, I’d already passed out flyers and had 14 models in place after being certified. This became my distraction to all my life problems. Whenever I was sad, I practiced lashing. Overthinking practiced. Replaying my recent break-up, practiced. Three months had gone by and I had serviced 200 clients— from my bedroom! I had a bedroom spa, lol. Ladies from Miami would dm me asking if I ever did lashes in Miami. After so many inquiries, I decided to service Miami every other weekend. Then, I decided to relocate permanently to the Miami area. Three months in, I was in a brand new home of my own with a home salon. This time in the family area instead of a bedroom. Haha. After four months, clientele grew rapidly and I knew for sure I needed to be in a suite. This past November (2020), I signed the lease to my suite and serviced over 100 clients for the month. I network more than ever now and even after calculating $94.5k in revenue for the year, for the first time EVER in my life, I remain humble. I now travel to 16 states within the US to teach young ladies like myself how to be a boss and stay motivated.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?

I’m a certified lash tech and I specialize in eyelash extensions. I’m known for creating unique long-lasting lash sets for people of all kinds. I’m most proud of my consistency and my will power to keep pushing and never give up. My customer service and vibe set me apart from others. I actually care and not too many people can say that these days, unfortunately.
What matters most to you?
Being successful matters most to me because my success is the key to my happiness. I am NOTHING If I fail.
