Today we’d like to introduce you to Hilda Solares.
Hi Hilda , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey into the keto lifestyle and creating Fit To Serve Group really began from a personal place. Like many others, I struggled with my health, energy levels, and finding a sustainable way of eating that truly worked long term. My husband Randy and I knew we needed a change, not just physically, but in how we approached food and wellness as a whole.
When we discovered the ketogenic lifestyle, it was life-changing. Randy went on to lose over 80 pounds, and I experienced a noticeable improvement in my energy, focus, and overall well-being. But what made the biggest difference wasn’t just the weight loss, it was how empowered we felt finally understanding how to nourish our bodies in a way that supported lasting health.
As someone who has always loved being in the kitchen, I began recreating our favorite traditional recipes into low-carb, sugar-free, and gluten-free versions and sharing them on my blog, Fit To Serve Group, where it quickly grew into something much bigger than I imagined.
Since then, we’ve been blessed to expand in ways I never imagined. I’ve published two cookbooks, and we’ve developed the Fit To Serve Group App, available on iOS and Android, where we continue to share recipes, meal ideas, and tools to help people stay consistent on their journey.
Today, Fit To Serve Group has grown into a platform where we help others embrace a keto lifestyle in a practical and encouraging way. Through our website, social platforms, app, and coaching, we share resources designed to make low-carb living approachable and sustainable.
At the heart of it all, our mission goes beyond food. We believe in caring for the whole person, spirit, mind, and body. Our faith plays a big role in that, and we love encouraging others to pursue not just better health, but a more intentional and abundant life.
What started in our home kitchen has now become a way to serve a larger community, and that’s something we don’t take for granted.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but I truly believe those challenges have been part of the growth.
In the beginning, I had to learn so much from scratch. Writing recipes in a standard, easy-to-follow format didn’t come naturally at first. I also had to learn how to write for a blog in a way that not only shares a recipe but tells a story and connects with readers. On top of that, figuring out how to use social media to promote the blog was a whole other learning curve. It required many hours of trial and error, testing what worked, what didn’t, and staying consistent even when growth felt slow.
As the space has evolved, new challenges have come with it. One of the most recent has been learning how to continue creating valuable blog content in a time where AI is now competing for attention. It has pushed me to be even more intentional about what I share, focusing on authenticity, personal experience, and building trust with my audience in a deeper way.
While it hasn’t always been easy, every challenge has helped me grow, not just as a content creator, but as a business owner and someone committed to serving others well.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Fit To Serve, LLC?
Fit To Serve Group is a keto and low-carb lifestyle platform designed to help people embrace a healthier way of eating without feeling restricted. At its core, we focus on creating recipes that are low-carb, sugar-free, and gluten-free, while still delivering the flavor and comfort people are used to.
What we do goes beyond just sharing recipes. We provide practical tools, encouragement, and education to help people stay consistent in their journey. Through our blog, social platforms, two published cookbooks, and the Fit To Serve Group App, we make it easier for our community to find meals, plan ahead, and stay inspired.
What I believe sets us apart is that everything we share comes from real-life experience. These are recipes we actually make in our own kitchen and meals that have supported our own health journey. I understand the challenges because I’ve lived them, and that allows me to create content that is both practical and approachable.
Another key part of our brand is our Christian faith. We believe that true wellness includes caring for the whole person, spirit, mind, and body. That perspective shapes how we serve our community, not just through food, but through encouragement and intentional living.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud that we’ve built something that truly helps people. Whether it’s someone finding a recipe that keeps them on track, using our app to simplify their week, or feeling encouraged to keep going, that impact means everything to us.
What I want readers to know is that this isn’t about perfection. It’s about progress, consistency, and finding a sustainable way to care for your health. Our goal is to make that journey feel doable, supportive, and even enjoyable.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
There are a few resources that have really helped me stay grounded, both in my work and in my personal life.
First and foremost, my Bible is my daily anchor. Spending time in God’s Word helps me stay focused on what truly matters and guides how I show up in both my business and my home.
When it comes to practical tools, I rely a lot on apps that help me stay organized and intentional with my time. Simple planning tools like Trello and content scheduling platforms like Tailwind have been key in managing the different parts of running a business, especially as things have grown.
In terms of learning, I’ve always leaned into blogs and online resources, especially in the early days when I was teaching myself how to write recipes, grow a blog, and use social media effectively. Even now, I continue to learn and adapt as things evolve.
I also enjoy listening to faith-based and business podcasts and teachings that encourage personal growth and remind me to stay aligned with my purpose. Those moments of encouragement really make a difference, especially during busy seasons.
Overall, I try to keep things simple and intentional. The goal for me is to use resources that support both productivity and peace, so I can serve well without feeling overwhelmed.
