Today we’d like to introduce you to Robert Izquierdo.
Hi Robert, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I am a graduate of the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale with a degree in Web Design and Interactive Media. Since then, I have continued my studies to educate myself in every aspect of digital marketing to stay current with the latest digital trends by getting certified in online Cornell University, Miami-Dade College, Wyncode Academy, Hubspot, and BizHack Academy. My continuous dedication of 10+ years experience starting out as an Assistant Director of film for Viacom coming fresh out of college and evolving into senior web developer to transitioning into director and E-Com manager for several online stores, demonstrates my passion and drive to develop myself as a true marketer. I have also been responsible for managing and building a strong and creative team of innovators and digital artists. At heart, I am a brand storyteller marketer focused on improving marketing ROI for e-commerce stores. With my expertise in online marketing and multimedia campaigns, I have driven business results through creating engaging video segment content, strategic brand messaging, and other innovative go-to marketing to connect brands to consumers. Some of my most proud roles and elite brands I managed are: As a director of marketing at Biller Genie, a cloud-based Fintech company, I successfully took ideas from origination to execution with a constant focus on expansion to deliver in-app enrollments playing heavily in LinkedIn marketing. I also forged strategic partnerships and lasting business ties, collaborating with key players and stakeholders at Accountex event in Boston. Branding that was developed three years ago by me is still being used on their site now. We helped small businesses collect their late payments from their clients automatically so the business owner could focus more on running their business yet not worry about their bills. Helping small and midsize businesses stay open was my greatest joy in this role. As a brand manager at Turning Point Brands, a CBD e-commerce business, I built out the entire store, increased sales, and delivered significant ROI.
By building out the E-Learning Guide part of the brand with an intensive guide on what CBD is and its medicinal effects in the mind and body. I created video content to show how it helped calm and alleviate pain when overworking our muscles. Fun and factual video segments were created to showcase this effect to reach the targeted audience on social media. Helping the public know that CBD was safe, legal, and had no psychoactive effects and still is packed with healthy organic natural benefits for the stressed out or sleepless person was my greatest accomplishment to serve our customers and live a better life. My most current and exciting role is at IGT Glass Hardware as an E-commerce manager. I am truly blessed to have found a new home and a great team in the middle of the pandemic. It’s a young and driven company with high positive energy to treat the customers professionally and caring. Also, the products can be used to stay safe in this time of the pandemic as our commercial handles are coated with Anti-bacterial coating, which is used in hospitals to repel germs. We also have the capabilities to build business barriers with our metal hardware to keep employees safe and customers healthy. When the product saves lives and helps the community, well, that makes marketing truthful and caring and that’s what I am all about! In my spare time, I am passionately involved in my community. I help troubled youth in the Miami Midtown District as a Youth District Leader in a Buddhist community center. I also volunteer at Chapman Partnership Homeless Shelter. In all my endeavors, I leverage my people skills to help other people succeed.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Adapting to new industries and learning different target personas have been the starting challenges, but that’s what makes the job most interesting, learning the buyer’s journey and the psychology of their buying behavior for each product and need. Finding good video editors that are dependable is hard in Miami, a huge struggle, lol.
