Today we’d like to introduce you to Milagro Lopez.

Hi Milagro, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my Real Estate journey when I was pregnant with my son. I knew that working a 9-5 was not going to allow me to be as present as I would want to be for him. Once I was licensed, I was ready to hit the ground running with what I thought would be so easy since I was ready to do the work.

Unfortunately, I was wrong. That first year kicked my “you know what.” I struggled at the beginning of my career because I didn’t realize as a Real Estate agent you are an ENTREPRENEUR! As an entrepreneur, it’s about coming from a place of service & making connections.

Once I applied those two methods, things took a turn for the best! In year 3 of my career, I opened my own Brokerage & became the CEO of “Your House Realty.” That was such a proud moment for me! Like, “CEO?” That was huge for me. Now, I still help buyers/sellers BUT know I help other agents make their way into the Real Estate industry.

See, I made so many mistakes in the beginning & I wish I had a coach/mentor to guide me. Thus far, training & pouring into new agents have been the most fulfilling part of my career. I can’t wait to see how far I will go with “Your House Realty”

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
As mentioned before, it wasn’t always easy! I didn’t have the guidance or money to spend on mentorship. I had to make a lot of expensive mistakes!

I think now, I am in a place where I don’t want that for the next agent. There is room for all of us to grow so I love helping others avoid the mistakes I made at the beginning of my career.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I help buyers make their dream homes come true.

First-time home buyers are the most fun to work with. There can be a negative perception that home ownership is expensive or people think they don’t qualify. I help them discover that they can & I help them get there. Whether it’s with financial coaching, loan assistance programs or just educating them.

For my sellers, I have a unique marketing strategy that I feel stands out from the rest. I don’t want to give away all my sauce lol but MARKETING is key to any successful sale in Real Estate. It’s not about listing and waiting for the home to sell, I make sure I am actively getting the word out about my sellers home for sale!

Then I get to help my agents do the same! I believe that we all have a unique way of doing things. I encourage my agents to be themselves and that will attract the right client for them. We are not meant to work with everybody but I make sure they know that by being themselves… the right clientele will come!

Risk-taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Risks are SCARY! Money risks are even scarier… but it’s like, how else are we supposed to get to the next level without a risk?

That uncomfortable, scary feeling that we all try to avoid in business & personal life. I have taken a risk and hired a mentor that was a high-ticket item for me… BUT I don’t have not one regret.

My mentor helped me get unstuck and stop doubting myself. Helped me with business systems and gave me a forever community. How else would I have gained all that without taking that risk on myself?
