Today we’d like to introduce you to Mariana Frontado.

Mariana, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
I fell in love with the Makeup industry when I was 16 years old. It all started with my first job as a makeup sales associate and I learnt and master the art of eyebrow shaping. I started working for the tv makeup industry at 24 years old and that has been an amazing experience because it was a totally different challenge. Tv makeup used to be heavier and then it all started changing to HD so I lived that transition and it was fun to adjust my style for the HD. Thirteen years after becoming an eyebrow artist, I had the blessing to be one of the owners at Divine Eyebrowz, an eyebrow and makeup studio. I look back and I never thought I will be doing what I love, waking up every day is fun because I do what I love and that is a blessing. I keep doing tv makeup for one of the most popular Hispanic shows and still get to see my clients as well. From eyebrow designs, to red carpet looks, I enjoy every single job I have done because I keep on learning new things every day.

We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
I specialize in eyebrow designs, glamorous, and contour makeup. I have done characteristic makeup which is a really good base for contouring and highlighting tricks. My favorite is beauty makeup (including eyebrows) and creating red carpet looks. Makeup is a way to play with yourself to look different each time you do it. My Art is the result of what I have in my heart.

Artists face many challenges, but what do you feel is the most pressing among them?
Definitely social media is one of them. Another amazing thing is to assist to networking events where you meet other artists and people in the industry such as photographers, producers, models etc.

Do you have any events or exhibitions coming up? Where would one go to see more of your work? How can people support you and your artwork?
I remember the days where people could only see my work only in person or through the tv. However, social media nowadays has its pros and part of my work is on my Instagram page @marianafrontadomakeup isn’t it amazing that people from all over the world could witness what you create?
